The news is out: the final issue of my 3-year Action Comics will be this December’s double-sized Action Comics Annual 2023. Action Comics 2024 will be the year-long event “Superman Superstars,” kicking off in January with a 3-parter by the great Jason Aaron and John Timm.(cont.)

I just read a Superman take that is so spectacularly ignorant that I think I'd better address it on here at some point. It is, at least, made somewhat better by the fact that it's so obviously a jab at me personally and not at the actual story we're telling.

Fun fact: the character of Sadie in Future State: #Superman was originally meant to be REGAN from All-Star. It didn’t work because Sadie needed to be a character that *Clark Kent* had saved with his writing, not Superman. But I’m still determined to bring Regan back in someday.

Unlike other Riders, GR44’s “Spirit of Vengeance” is housed inside a little boy named LEO (also 1st appearance). GR44 is his guardian angel. I took inspiration for Leo from 10-year-old Uziyah Garcia: a great kid, a huge Spider-Man fan, and a victim of the 2022 Uvalde shooting.
