I was given the green light to share my variant cvr for Batman/Superman
#12
, to be released early September.
Colors by the always sensational Elizabeth Breitweiser.
Finally got a moment to finish this. Brush, pen, ink wash on tan toned mixed media paper, with some acrylic paint, and a smidge of graphite thrown in for good measure.

Does whatever a spider can -- haven't drawn this guy in a good minute. His unique way of moving brings possibilities you can't find in most other characters.

Saw this posted elsewhere, so here's my pinup (colors, too) for the 'The Death of Superman 30th Anniversary Special'

Honoring with a grateful heart the 101st birthday today of the king, Jack Kirby. Many of us would have different jobs and lives today if not for his impact.
A bit more ink and wash and then knock in some highlights -- with something other than white this time, and I'll call it.
Originally intended to spend an hour or two on this sketch, but it has sucked me in.

C2E2 update: 1)One more to go after this one. 2) due to the CDC's latest report, I'll be joining others in avoiding handshakes and such this weekend. Don't want to overreact, but also want to employ basic wisdom.
And finally 3) - let's all have a great show!
Process 4 cvr just posted; thmb 2 pencil 2 ink 2 tones (tone stage digital). Biggest change from thumb was bringing Batman forward (made more sense) and altering the "camera" tilt (but, there really isn't a camera...is there?)
So privileged to be part of the Batman Annual (aka, this week’s installment of the
@TomKingTK
Conquers The World Tour), out tomorrow with breathtaking work from
@bettieb
and
@MichaelLark66
. Don't miss it.
