Today, PPS will hold a moment of silence at 9:54 AM to honor the eleven victims of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting, and call for peace and unity among all. This horrible tragedy is believed to be the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in US history.
The Board of Public Education named Dr. Wayne N. Walters as Interim Superintendent of PPS in a unanimous vote by its nine-member Board. Dr. Walters begins his role in the top leadership post on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Steven Brault and Joe Musgrove to "Shred Hate" at their school! In partnership with No Bully, this assembly supports the school’s Shred Hate curriculum and promotes the no bullying policy at Pittsburgh Obama.
Malajsha is a phenomenal, honor roll student at Pittsburgh Dilworth. We are so proud of her for releasing the book, The Football Girl. The book is about a young girl who overcomes so much adversity after trying to play a male-dominated sport.
Due to weather predictions of frigid temperatures and potential challenges due to icy road conditions Pittsburgh Public Schools will be closed on Friday, December 23, 2022.
CAPA senior Jordan McNeal was accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston. Jordan is a life-long PPS student, starting at Pittsburgh Phillips. Some of his past credits include Radio Golf, Sister Act, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, and Les Miserables.
