US roadway deaths jumped 7% in Q1 2022, hitting a 20-year high. A reminder that **this is not normal.** Other developed countries have seen roadway deaths plummet during the last two decades. The USA is a deadly outlier. @NHTSAgov 's current practices simply are not working.
