Today I had incredible news from the vet. By some miracle Alfies bloods have stabilised. The vet said he had never seen anything like it and whatever I'd done I should keep doing it. My boy is going to be okay. 🖤

The vet called. We don't know how but Alfies red blood cells went from 15% 2 days ago to 33% today. He's poorly and his body is still attacking his red blood cells but not as quickly so he is improving. I cried when the vet told me. He said he'd never seen anything like it! 🖤

Update on Alfie, he had a lie in and went out for a gentle walk and to go to the toilet. He refused all food apart from chicken. Gave him a bowl of chicken and rice and when I went to check on him it was all gone! Really proud of him. 🖤

My little dude is feeling sorry for himself. Just had his last vaccines and his chip at the vet. The chip hurt but he did so well. Got a fantastic report on his ears and he now doesn't need antibiotic drops just normal ones so won't need to claim on the insurance. 🖤

Alfie is dying. He has IMHA. He's gone past a certain point. His own immune system is killing his red blood cells. I've just spent two hours at the vet. He's had an injection. If it doesn't work he won't make it. His red blood cells are so low be could go at any moment anyway.

Yesterday my grandad gave me a £50 note. I refused it and he said it was a thank you for all the work I had done on his house and because I work so hard. I grew up very poor and knowing to never ask for money, it's something you don't do. Had to fight back the tears.🖤

I went in for Emergency Surgery. I needed an emergency transfusion because I started to haemorrhage and my heart was stopping. Those doctors and that blood is the reason I’m still alive. It was so scary knowing I was so close to death. 🖤

My boy today. Playing in the river. He didn’t want to get out. We honestly had the best time, just me and him out in the countryside making memories together. 🖤

Apparently Twitter friends aren’t real friends... is that so? They support me, they’re at the end of the phone whenever I need them, some I class as family as we are so close, they ask how I am, they encourage me and lift me up, they make me the best version of myself. 🖕🏼
