On April 8th at 8pm we will turn on the field lights at all Hornet facilities in honor of spring sport athletes, especially our seniors. The lights will stay on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds. 🏃♀️⚾️🥎🎾

The girl’s cross country team won 1st place at the Barren County Invitational today. Anna Grace Blythe got 2nd place (22:30), Allie Thomas in 3rd (22:32), Braelyn Davis in 8th (24:12), Emily Shaw in 11th (PR 24:45), and Carlie Howard (27:30). Congrats girls! Well deserved!
I don’t usually get to catch the evening news, but I’m glad I did today. Congratulations to Johnnie Tarter on being the hometown hero! We appreciate all he does for our athletes.
Hornets came up one run short in extra innings last night but managed to pick up a couple of home run balls for Maddox Garrett and Jax Allen. Keep working guys⚾️⚾️
The Metcalfe County Middle School Cheerleaders finished their season with an outstanding final performance at the CKMSAC Middle School Cheer Competition. They brought home the first-runner up trophy in the large squad division.
Important dates-
On January 18th we will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the 1985 boy’s basketball regional championship team at halftime of the boy’s game. Also, homecoming will be held between games. Girls tip off at 5:30pm🏀
Boy’s district final is tonight at 7pm. Metcalfe vs Clinton with awards for boy’s freshman district, district winner and runner-up, and all district team to follow.
Metcalfe boy’s golf team won their first match of the season against Clinton and Cumberland Co. The team played hard, made some excellent shots, and won by 13 strokes.
