This is one powerful GAA image. Down boss Conor Laverty speaks to both squads after an incredibly emotional Ulster final between the Mourne county and Monaghan.
Liverpool playing like a team the night after the dinner dance when the gobshites down the road wouldn't move the game to the Friday. Even though you swapped for a christening a couple of years before.
Bruno and Manchester United were 34 points behind Liverpool when he made his debut.
Bruno and Manchester United are now 34 points behind Liverpool.

When the football season started, if you'd said Cavan will win Ulster, Tipperary will win Munster and Mickey Harte will be Louth manager you'd have been laughed out of it.
When Malachy O’Rourke took on Monaghan:
Division Three
No Ulster title/All-Ireland semi-final since 1988
Now:
Division One mainstays
Two Ulster titles
First All-Ireland semi-final in 40 years
In seven years Malachy O’Rourke took Monaghan from Division Three to the last four of the All-Ireland. A couple of Ulster titles thrown in for good measure as well as five years in Division One. He did a fantastic job.
Three simple things to help GAA
1) Kill the advanced mark in football
2) Return minor final to before senior final
3) Incorporate hooter system across all codes
This is not protest. This is vandalism and attempted murder. These actions do not represent unionism or loyalism. They are an embarrassment to Northern Ireland and only serve to take the focus off the real law breakers in Sinn Fein.
My thoughts are with the bus driver.
Suggestions for when the GAA has to pipe in crowd noise.
"Will you put the ball in you bollox"
"The brother was better but sure he hit the drink"
"He won't make it, sure he has the wing mirrors"
Slaughtneil have now retained their Ulster senior titles in football, hurling and camogie. Last year was meant to be once in a lifetime. Not for the Derry club. Just incredible.

Niall Kearns back on the Monaghan bench after recent heart surgery. Oisin Kiernan starting for Cavan after battling cancer. Don’t care if it finishes 0-1 0-1, this is a game to be enjoyed.
Wishing the Monaghan Senior Team and Management the very best of Luck as they open their Ulster Championship campaign against Cavan in Kingspan, Breffni tonight at 7pm. Monaghan Team named as below.

It's 20 years since Armagh lifted Sam Maguire and thanks to the brilliant help of so many people - and the great crew at
@OBrienPress
- I've been able to write a book about a subject I love.
Cover reveal!
Kings for a Day: The Story of Armagh and their 2002 Journey to Sam Maguire by

Twenty years on, Orchard stars, fans and opponents all contribute to paint a vivid picture of the day that Armagh were Kings for a Day.
In bookshops 26th September!
Love this from Sean Quigley on Clare's Kevin Harnett. Great interview from

in the Fermanagh Herald/Gaelic Life. Well worth picking up as Roslea man goes through his career ahead of 100th game.
Bashing the BBC's GAA coverage was all the rage for a while but Thomas Niblock and co. have been playing a stormer the last few seasons with their club highlights.
‘Lower tier hurling gets no media coverage’
Likes of Gaelic Life, Irish News, CDP and a host of local papers give super coverage to Ulster teams at all levels. Then there’s the likes of Saffron Gael & Donegal Sports Hub.
Media coverage doesn’t start & finish with Sunday Game.
I got in the car with Oisín McConville and the Wicklow management team for an all-access look at their training session ahead of Sunday's Kildare clash. Here is a diary of what happened.
From my mother:
"Could you tweet something to the Health Service to say well done for the efficient way that the vaccine was administered in Craigavon Lake Centre during the week and thanks to all involved?"
Yes, yes I can.

This is Colin Bell who established the Kevin Bell repatriation trust after he lost his son Kevin. He is a hero. Since established, they have helped 23 Donegal families and 750 families nation wide.
“You picked a hell of a year to start following the PGA Tour.”
Spieth, Thomas, Scheffler, Koepka, Morikawa, Poulter, Dahmen, Fitzpatrick, Johnson, Finau, Theegala, Pereira, Niemann, and McIlroy.
Full Swing premieres February 15.
It is possible to recognise the absolute brilliance of this Dublin team whilst also accepting that the financial injection has played a significant role in their ability to win six All-Ireland titles in eight years having gone 16 years without one prior to 2011.
GAA say 35,000 sold for Armagh-Galway, Kerry-Mayo. Doesn't include season ticket holders so prob closer to 45k now. Huge Armagh crowd set to travel by sounds of it.
At just 23 David Clifford is going to lift his fourth All-Star in a few weeks' time. 0-6 from play in last year's semi (missed et), 0-4 from play today. A genius at work.
Gutted to hear about John Morrison. Just last week he was telling me why every GAA club should be installing a playpark. As per usual he signed off the phone with an awful joke. A great mind and a great man.
In tomorrow’s Gaelic Life: From Japan to Australia to beautiful Gaoth Dobhair - the story of Naoise Ó Baoill’s journey from one side of the world to the Ulster Club final.

Big news in Gaelic Life today. We are moving to a digital edition only (until the situation improves). There is an amazing offer on subscriptions currently (50% off) and any sign ups and retweets would be greatly appreciated. It's well worth it. Thanks
One of the greatest club championship successes of all time. Dungannon end a 64-year wait in Tyrone by winning all four of their games after extra-time - and the final after penalties.
A full pdf of this week's Gaelic Life has been widely shared on WhatsApp today. We've been busting our balls trying - and in my opinion succeeding - to bring great content during this. At the moment you can get the paper for as little as 53p. Play fair, .

It's been a grim decade for Armagh football.

Ulster MFC final appearances - 1
Ulster Club SFC final appearances - 1
Ulster Club IFC final appearances - 0
Ulster Club JFC final appearances - 0
Three Ulster Champ games in crap weather, unusual circumstances and no crowd, and the six teams serve up brilliant entertainment. Credit to the players.
Connacht Championship clash between New York and Sligo this weekend will feature two managers, Tony McEntee and Johnny McGeeney, who grew up two miles apart - Crossmaglen and Culloville in South Armagh.

Would be nice if Cavan and Donegal panels and management were given two tickets each for Ulster final. Still be a crowd of around 200 and would bring something to the occasion.

Surely one of the highest standard Premier League seasons ever? City, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea all excellent.
Even second tier teams like Everton, Bournemouth and Man United are very good on their day.
Praise for refs rare but thought Sean Hurson was excellent today, albeit not sure he should have been able to overrule that 45 if replay was used. Super work though.
The Cavan hurlers, who went six years without fielding and only rejoined the NHL in 2018, are into a Division 3A semi-final after last year's promotion from Division 3B.
2000 - Casement Park rocked. Anto was Antrim captain. Big Tohill ruined the fun in the drawn Derry game but what a few weeks for in the rain and sun for Saffron fans.
Check out what your county received from Croke Park for coaching/games development projects since 2007. More details, analysis and comment in today's Irish Independent

The golden age of Sigerson. Midweek afternoon games. Huge crowds, most of them coming from the Hatfield first. Queen's and UU taking lumps out of each other and just ridiculously talented team sheets.
