Thanks to @HS2ltd this lunchtime I witnessed one of the greatest moments in a 50+ year railway career. The HS2 North Pirtal TBM breakthrough. Met so many engineers there who will inspire the next generation. @VolkerFitzUK @HuwMerriman couldn't be there.

Wolverton Railway Works has been open since 1838. 213 WW men died in WW1. Works' owners @StModwen blocked the WW1 Memorial for longer than WW1 raged and they will demolish it soon. Locals unveiled the Memorial in Sept. I placed three poppies on it at 11am. No-one else there.
