The Lakeland Central School District Board of Education appointed Donald Pinkowsky as the newest member of the board at its October 3, 2019 meeting. He replaced Glen Malia who resigned earlier this year. His term will continue until the May 21, 2020 annual budget vote.

Meet Inchy, the book machine at Van Cortlandtville Elementary School that will dispense free books as a reward for good behavior, good grades and good attendance. It was purchased with a grant secured by a retiring monitor, who wanted to help the entire school.

Congrats to the Rebels Men's Varsity Swim Team for finishing sixth at last week’s Sectional meet, with several swimmers setting team records and qualifying for States.
The Rebels came in first in the section in the 200 freestyle relay, broke a team record + qualified for States.
