The first Project Roomkey site in Downtown Los Angeles opened yesterday increasing the program’s capacity by 460 rooms and putting the hotel back into business after closing since the shut down.

LAHSA Commission Chair Sarah Dusseault stopped by a Project Roomkey site with welcome packages she and her friend created for our clients. The packages included books, magazines, and other items to help our clients enjoy their downtime at the hotels.

We joined @MayorOfLA , @ChrysalisLA , @josehuizar 's office and other partners earlier today to celebrate the opening of The Bin's second location at 548 San Pedro St. This facility adds 1,000 more bins in which anyone can safely store and access their belongings seven days a week.

A 40-bed, pet-friendly shelter with showers, laundry, health care specialists, casework services, community rooms, and 24-hour security opened yesterday in a formerly vacant building in San Pedro.
