Liberals shut down the Justice committee.
What did Trudeau say again?
"I believe that real leadership is about listening, learning and compassion. It’s about the push and pull of robust discourse and honest debate. It’s about transparency and accountability."
What a joke.
Well, that was awkward.
CJOB reporter asking outgoing Manitoba Liberal leader Dougald Lamont how he can lead his party without a seat.

Personally, I think it is in poor taste to laugh at someone’s modest upbringing, no matter what his current political views are.

BREAKING: Rebel News reporter David Menzies (

Visit Rebel News for more on this story:
In the fall, I wrote that Singh should offer Trudeau some stability in exchange for a formal agreement on some fairly broad points of convergence between the two parties.
If a deal is confirmed, I think it'll be good news for Canada.
Fact: to get a job in Ottawa, francophones must speak english. But there are tons of gainfully employed unilingual anglophones in Ottawa. Unilingual francos? Not so much.
Very good piece on the limits of bilingualism. Western Canadians have little chance to become fluent in French despite the best of intentions. The trend to require bilingualism in most top govt jobs discriminates against them.
Sounds like Trudeau was made aware of the allegations against MP Marwan Tabbara early on, yet it was kept quiet and he was allowed to run. Others didn't get that treatment. Why?
What is going on between the Liberals and this guy?
And for the cops to get involved... Is he a security threat? That's the only reason why they would intervene.
This is all very strange.
I was just pulled out of the line at Justin Trudeau’s Lakehead rally by two Thunder Bay cops and ejected from the building. Moments earlier an organizer took my photo and showed them. I RSVPd to this public event and was given a wristband. My name was on the list!
After a grilling from Global BC’s Neetu Garcha (on reconciliation, housing, Bill 21, feminism, and Afghanistan), Prime Minister Justin Trudeau complains that he didn’t get to talk about what he wanted to talk about — then gets scorched for it. 😬

Strategically, this is a gamble for the NDP. It could pay off. It could backfire.
But it will remain the right thing to do for the country and for people. And that's good news.
BREAKING: Green MPs will not give unanimous consent for calling Parliament together frequently until Public Health advice says it makes sense. Giving the Conservatives a spotlight in QP is not a reason to reconvene.

As Justin Trudeau prepares to testify about his role in the controversial deal with WE Charity, those close to the PM say Canadians will understand what the government was trying to do.

Funny how Liberal candidates in newly orphaned ridings are being "acclaimed" as if this was a legitimate democratic process and not an appointement from HQ.

Francophones are so much in control in Ottawa that Canada's top Public Health official, in the midst of the worst pandemic in a 100 years, just gave an update in english only.
Chances of a unilingual francophone holding that position, ever?
Zero.
Interesting to see some people who were applauding the removal of John A. MacDonald's statues and the renaming of the Langevin block now balk loudly about Laurier.

It is not the job of the NDP to get the Green Leader elected. It is the Green Party's job.

There will be consequences for anyone contravening City By-laws, Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code legislation.

Jagmeet Singh was followed down Wellington Street today by that guy who tried to do a "citizen's arrest" on a Radio-Canada journalist. "Want me to arrest you?" he asks the NDP leader.
The video ends with him telling Singh: "Next time I see you, we're gonna have a dance."
Plan:
- Get elected as a Green MP
- Argue with Leader over Israel-Palestine
- Become a Liberal
- Adopt Liberal position on Israel-Palestine
- Ignore it is same as Green Party Leader
- Defend pipeline ownership
So as a society, we can't provide affordable housing to people living with disabilities.
Plan B is to help them die and apparently, it is much easier.
This is Canada, 2022.
We are failing.
A wheelchair-bound 31-year-old woman in Toronto is nearing final approval for a medically assisted death request after a fruitless bid to secure an affordable apartment that doesn't worsen her chronic illnesses.
The Bloc Quebecois has been in the english debates since 1993.
Like it or not, the Bloc has been an active and productive (and sometimes positive) player in Canada's democracy.
700 000 anglophones can vote for the Bloc. Some do. They shouldn't be excluded.
We don’t have first past the post. I think Jagmeet Singh and Annamie Paul seem like decent people who would do the right things during a pandemic. But with the polls such as they are, you don’t get to choose PM Singh or PM Paul.
Your choice is PMJT or PM O’Toole. That’s it.
Trudeau's sky high taxes, wasteful spending, and massive deficits have left Canada in a weak and vulnerable position. He has spent the cupboard bare when times were good and now there is nothing left as a poor economic forecast are on the horizon.
We need to get back on track.

: My investigation for Global News identifies that PM Justin Trudeau's senior aides were allegedly briefed by CSIS shortly before the October 2019 federal election, that candidate Han Dong, was suspected to be involved in PRC Foreign Interference.
Here are the various motions the Conservatives have given notice of, up to them to decide which they want to advance as their oppo day motion. Going with the motion of non confidence with an outgoing leader, at this moment in the country would be quite the move.
#cdnpoli
Lolz.
After Annamie Paul lost the Toronto Centre by-election, Elizabeth May says she would consider stepping aside to let Paul run in her own seat. But May is reluctant to do so, because she said, "it's a very un-green notion" to treat seats as an "ancestral manor house."

Striking down the notwithstanding clause?
Shoring up your progressive credentials?

The flurry of Ontario Liberal leaflets, fake polls, shareables and signs claiming they are the strategic choice has one goal and one goal only: prevent the NDP from forming government (even if it allows Doug Ford to become Premier.)

I can't find a single quote of an opposition MP calling for an election. In fact, all MPs voted against calling an election in the House of Commons a few weeks before.
But that is not even the point, of course.
Min. Marie-Claude Bibeau: "If we had done politics like it used to be done, they would have been kicked out two months ago...this is why we say it's doing politics differently."
I can't write satire this funny.
It’s taken too long but this is a vindication of the Trudeau government’s strategy of pressuring the Whitehouse to strike a deal with Meng Wanzhou and link it to the case of the two Michaels.
