Blocking in Tekken 8 feels like Tag 2 a little to me, you can't afford to let go of block for a split second when doing something like a backdash or sidestep or you risk getting clipped by something. Tekken 7 definitely felt more lenient when it came to blocking overall IMO

Wanted to look into the "Strong Aerial Spin" property in T8. These are all the moves that seem to do it, those who know can understand that some characters benefit from this state more than others due to move viability. (N/A means character lacks it or I couldn't find it)

I just lost my Grandad... I've never known a more gentle and loving soul in my life. We didn't get to interact much when I was an adult, but I'll always cherish my childhood memories of him, and at least I got to see him one last time yesterday before the end. Love you, Grandad.

Funny how people think Yoshi going back to T7 Flash hitbox and losing his Heat relaunch oki from ff2:2 is crippling. It's not. He's still capable of doing disgusting oki from a variety of situations. Plus the other NSS buffs he got in this game make him stupidly strong still.

It's honestly sad people are ripping into him because they firmly believe he won't replicate his T7 success without Akuma. SA can play Tekken well without him. And even if they end up being correct, who cares? Leave the guy alone because this is just sad behaviour.

Seems the recent tweet from TEKKEN has addressed more of the problems the patch introduced (people moving during rage arts, Eddy's bugged heat dash, Azucena's wr3,2 behaviour on whiff etc.) Which is good, but what is not good is how screwed over the modding community is right now

I've noticed with T8 there are different Heat Mode "archetypes" between the characters: 1. Enhances the properties of moves (e.g. Law, Paul, Nina) 2. Gives new moves, while also enhancing others (e.g. Lars, Feng) 3. Infinite "Starburst" mechanic (Claudio, Asuka, Bryan) Cont.

T7 hitting 9 mil sales makes it the best selling game in the series I'm sure. While it's cool they made up for how little TTT2 sold, I hope 7 isn't the standard for future games. Keep the great gameplay for 8, but do more with the content, because 7 doesn't have much else to it.

Not the first nerfs I was expecting, but essentially NSS/heat flash can't be spammed in combos anymore and the healing it gives will be less effective, nerfed 1SS flash hitbox could potentially affect certain flash punishment, and I guess heat f1+2 relaunch after ff2:2 is gone.

Actually, this is the natural effect 1,1 has on NH if he's in NSS. Any moves that draw the sword back out are enhanced, much like they are in Heat. 1,1 does still KND on CH 2nd hit in 1SS however.

The more I lab, more I think Yoshi is absolutely busted. His poke game is mostly the same as before, but the NSS buffs he has been given with added healing make him freakishly strong in oki and pressure situations. Not to mention his new strings complimenting his wall carry 😈

Most of Leroy's Hermit stance seems weak to sidewalking left so I strongly encourage stepping that way whenever he goes into it, except for when he does d3,2 into it because that's +8 on hit so you won't be going anywhere.

I think the most amusing thing about Season 2 is seeing how many players will ditch their current mains for characters that have been beefed up, as that is how meta is these days. Sure all my characters got buffed mostly, but regardless I'd stick with them to the end.

So the general gist of the patch notes I get is... Drag's uf4 no longer launches, his new +7 mid has more pushback, Jun can't do a spike combo, her uf1 has a different hit property, Jack lost his spike combo, DJ's hellsweep got a damage nerf, Leo's new b1 string is unsafe. Cool.

Yeah, based on what I'm seeing everywhere, this patch has basically put the game in a heap of trouble. Issues with certain moves and situations got danced around instead of properly solved, while introducing new unintentional bugs that break the game. The tour is in 11 days...

I remember seeing a bunch of tier lists not long ago, so I wanted to do something different. This is a HEAT based tier list, mainly based on my own experiences, taking into account the heat dashes, heat buffs and heat smashes. Not ordered, lemme know your thoughts and objections!

I came 2nd at the major UK & IRE championship event in Stratford today. Reset the bracket but @AyoRichie_98 stayed solid and closed it before I could do any more damage. Congrats to him and GGS to everyone I played, I may not have won but I was satisfied with how I played.

So I'm heading out to Tokyo, Japan with my college friends for ten days! We're going to be trying as many things as possible! Can't wait! Be back in the UK on the 26th!

3rd at EGX Arena, can't complain considering all the games I had were great and as usual @AyoRichie_98 and @byJoka knocked it out the park with their performances. This *might* be my last big T7 tournament considering my schedule going forward, but all in all, was a fun weekend!

Saw the pools for the #TWT2018 LCQ... they all look pretty crazy! It's a shame I couldn't be a part of the rumble due to how things are in my life right now, but I wish every player competing the best of luck to obtain that 20th spot!

I seem to be getting messages asking if I quit or retired from Tekken. Being one of the UK's champions, I would have let everyone know if I did lol I'm just simply not playing the game at the moment due to current circumstances.

Well that grand final against @Gosain__ was absolutely insane, sometimes every now and then you're gonna die to the mix and sadly I fell just short of taking it after gaining so much momentum. But 2nd place is nothing to scoff at either way. Tonight was a long day of GGS!

Went out at the ELF event today in top 8, it was good at least to come back to an offline event after all this time and meet a lot of the guys again. Definitely have to learn all the new stuff and get used to seeing it applied in games. GGs everyone, until the next one!
