I just got a press release from Gov. Whitmer saying she kicked off her "post-State of the State tour" in Flint today. But nowhere in that email did she say she called for getting the schools open in Flint, which are closed indefinitely. That should have been No. 1 on her list.
What's laughable is Michigan's
@GovWhitmer
trying to say she's a defender of freedom, when she has implemented the worst COVID lockdowns in the country, fought to stop school choice and overturned right to work.

2) Turn into a bat and fly away;

4) All of the above.
Totally agree. Republicans need to get back to being fiscal conservatives.

I'm still shocked that Gretchen Whitmer thought she could get away with saying she only closed schools for three months. As states like Florida, Texas and Arizona figured out how to get kids back in schools, Whitmer cowered to the teachers unions. Parents are smarter than that.
.
@TudorDixon
responds to Whitmer claiming she only closed schools for three months: “Maybe she thinks she can convince YOU that schools were closed for three months, but you know better because your students are the ones that are desperately behind.”
If Gov. Gretchen Whitmer wants people to move to Michigan, she doesn't need a 'commission.' She could just look at what Ron DeSantis has done in Florida, which is attracting people from all over the country.

If this doesn’t make you want to vote for Tudor Dixon, I don’t know what would. This is the same teachers union president who advocated and lobbied for keeping schools closed far longer than they needed to be. Baffling that Gov. Whitmer thinks the AFT will help her, but $ talks.

As a reminder, "forgiving" student debt is misleading -- that debt doesn't magically disappear. It will become the responsibility of taxpayers, the majority of whom don't have a college degree or have worked hard to pay off their own debts.
Kristina Karamo (GOP candidate for Michigan Secretary of State) is the perfect example of a failed Trump-anointed candidate, whose ONLY “qualification” was feeding his ego and buying his lies. There’s a reason Republicans here got trounced. Embarrassing.

I think it's ironic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is advocating we shop "local" and support small businesses when we can't currently go to our local restaurants -- except for takeout or "gift cards" (or eating outside in December...) That's not enough to keep these establishments afloat.
Whitmer focused on "kitchen table issues," yet she completely ignored the terrible impact of her COVID orders and lockdowns on small businesses, especially restaurants, schools and nursing homes -- all issues families care a lot about. Clearly, she's in campaign mode.
