It's long been a mystery what then-President Donald Trump told the Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers on a phone call in November 2020.
Thanks to sources and journalism, it's no longer a mystery.
Exchange I just had with Michigan state Rep. Daire Rendon.
Me: Is that a QAnon button on your shirt?
Her: It’s a flag with a Q on it.
Me: What does the Q reference?
Her: The Q is the highest level of security in the federal government.

Then-President Donald Trump's campaign directly orchestrated the filing of a certificate, signed by 16 Michigan Republicans, that falsely claimed he won the state's 2020 election, according to internal campaign emails obtained by The Detroit News.
Stefanie Lambert, the lawyer who is facing charges in Michigan for her alleged role in a conspiracy to improperly obtain voting machines, was scheduled to appear in court at 3 p.m. today.
It's 3:48 p.m., and she's not here.

So the Gratiot County Republican Party apparently came up with its own.

Asked why her speech resonated with so many people, here's Sen. McMorrow's response:
"There is a difference between politics and outright hate," she said. "And I think people are frustrated that elected officials haven’t done enough to call that out..."
This news tonight shows how seriously Michigan's Attorney General's office has taken the false GOP presidential electors' certificate + could have repercussions throughout state politics.
I asked state Rep. Aaron Miller, a Republican who's not on the Oversight Committee, about what he thought of Giuliani's closing remarks.
His response is in this story:

She didn't appear for a court hearing in Oakland County over her failures to get fingerprinted.
Judge Jeffery Matis issued a bench warrant.

James Renner says the false electors met at the Radisson hotel in downtown Lansing before walking to the Capitol on Dec. 14, 2020.
They were invited by someone to return to the hotel for pizza and hot chocolate after going to the Capitol, he testifies.

On top of probing the “alternate” electors certificate, the U.S. House Jan. 6 committee has also been looking into how a rush of GOP poll challengers who showed up at TCF Center was organized the day after the election:
Michigan House Democrats have repeatedly and unsuccessfully called for an internal House investigation into former Speaker Lee Chatfield.
Looks like they will get their chance in January.
Hey Meshawn, I read your thread about what you believed on Dec. 14, 2020.
Did you believe you were in the state Capitol when you signed the certificate?
Did you know the certificate was going to be sent to Mike Pence and the National Archives?
Simple questions.
The fake news just repeats itself over and over and pretends they have new news.
Millions of people clearly believed that proof of cheating would eventually reveal that Trump won MI and other states.
We weren’t quiet about it.

Now, Renner testifies that in addition to presenting the false certificate to lawmakers, another purpose of the meeting was a contingency in case recounts showed Trump had won.
There was no recount in Michigan.
That's quite a bit different than the previously floated idea that the false certificate was simply about providing a contingency in case the courts eventually reversed the election.

Maddock is currently facing felony charges over her alleged role in the false electors certificate.
@CraigDMauger
Part of the pushback comes from your hugely flawed use of the term ‘fake elector’. That set you up for appropriate ridicule.
I couldn’t decide if you simply had no idea what you were writing about or if you were truly that biased. The jury is still out on that question.
Hi

👋🏼 I also “regret the fact that people are being threatened for doing their job.” For the last 3+ years professional election workers have been threatened because of yours & others’ lies. No amount of memory lapses changes that reality.
