@unity Does this mean I am charged if pirates install a pirated version? Does this mean that if a user installs the game on a laptop, handheld and pc, and potentially multiple times, that I'd be charged for EACH install? This is a pretty big deal, ripe for exploitation. Thanks!

@unity So this is per install then. What about bots installing/uninstalling over a period of time? What if a user wants to be awful and uninstall / install the game once a day just to ding an indie developer for a while? What if multiple users do that? You realize how exposed we feel?

@WritNelson I hope you leave it in. Most players will never find it, every game has these cracks, I found a glitchy area in fortnite just last night, and I barely play. Speed runners love this, adds character to the game (as long as these things aren't super obvious to majority of players)

@PeaHeadGames @AndreTI @unity All they did was confirm it is indeed per install and they don't really have a way to differentiate between sales, giveaways, demos. We have to take their word that they can detect an install from a pirated game, at THEIR benefit. No answer on installs / owner etc...

@DevSpacePrez @DaveOshry I think thats fair tbh, wanting to play the game the way you want. Doom eternal was a break from the norm and had really novel mechanics that forced diversity of gun play. I'm glad they did this and didn't just rehash the previous game, but I also get why many people didn't love
