No player in the NBA is as effective or blatant in stalling with a lead than Nikola Jokic. He does this by delaying the refs 5-second count (fumbling the ball or passing it to the ref) and then rolling it to his teammate. Tonight he wasted almost a minute of game clock in the 4Q.

Some things are bigger than basketball. Raptors' HC Darko Rajaković, asked about the death of Dejan Milojević, answers through tears: "I told my guys I loved them. And the opening play of the game was an ATO that (Dejan) brought to the NBA..." "I dedicate this team win to him."

Why is Minnesota for real? This right here. First play out of a timeout and Denver leans on old reliable. We've seen it a million times. This is an Aaron Gordon alley-oop. Rudy Gobert has seen it too. He dissects and defends it perfectly. The Minnesota defense has been fantastic.

JJ Redick's eye for the game and processing ability in real-time is ABSURD. The fact he was able to immediately identify why Isaac Okoro was in position to take the charge, and then relay it to the audience in an easily-digestible way, is what makes him such an elite commentator.

This is legitimately one of the sickest alley-oops I've ever seen. Obviously Jaxson Hayes is an alien for finishing this off but I have no clue how Austin Reaves dreamed this pass up.

Jalen Brunson is changing the conversation about his defense. He's not just "good for his size", he's been a legitimately GOOD defender this season. This tag, anticipation, and leap into the passing lane is next-level stuff.

Watch Pascal Siakam this possession Obviously they're limited by injuries but the Knicks are just making offense too hard on themselves.

The problem with Immanuel Quickley “getting a chance to be starting point guard” is he’s also by far his new team’s best shooter. Darko has to find a way to balance increasing Quickley’s on-ball reps with leveraging his gravity for Barnes/Barrett.

Duop Reath is shooting 35% on *9.5* 3PA per 36. That's cool. There's a lot of value in having a Center who can shoot, but it's a small sample and plenty of tall guys can shoot. How many of those guys can attack a close-out like this though? Portland might have a hidden gem here.

Let's start with the two-play sequence that inspired this. First, the Knicks place OG & Donte on the weak side which gives Hartenstein a clear path to the basket on the roll. Then they flip the set but Lowry pre-stunts. Nick Nurse has shown his hand; always help off of Josh Hart.

Aaaaand there it is. After a game that saw SGA shoot more FT's than the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards GOES OFF on the refs in his postgame interview. "I'm gonna take the fine because the refs did not give us any calls tonight, we had to play through every bump and grab." 🔥🔥🔥

Anthony Edwards soars through the air for a monster slam and appears to get fouled by SGA. Neither Edwards, who is on record complaining about the whistle SGA gets, or the Minnesota booth are not happy with the no-call. "The league needs to look at this, that's ridiculous."

Okay so it wasn't perfect. Jalen creates another advantage and listen to the crowd nervously groan has Hart passes on a wide open corner 3. OG is forced to take a bad shot but Hart rectifies his mistake by crashing the offensive glass. Check out Greg Anthony's wonderful analysis.

HHT two-part film session ft. IQ: off-ball menace. IQ's off-ball defensive prowess serves as a solid representation of IQ the basketball player. Most think on-ball defense matters more, but defenders actually spend a substantially greater % of defensive possessions off-ball.

This cracked me up. After watching him score 20 first half points I'm pretty sure the Pelicans didn't call a single play for Jordan Hawkins in the 2nd half. It took blowing a double digit lead and falling behind 8 to remember that maybe getting him the ball is a good idea.

Moving to the other side of the ball, OG will be asked to space the floor and provide gravity for the Knicks' top 2 options Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle. He excels at shooting off the catch but he's also adept at attacking close-outs and swing passes to maintain an advantage.
