This is a weird little book for aficionados of weirdness and those interested in the rich culture of strangeness in Sweden, and I'm extremely proud of it! πΈ

To be honest, every time I think of the United States I envision a mythological landscape of conspiracies, small towns, pickup trucks, men in black, nighttime drinks, serial killers, dogs, palm trees, cocaine and UFOs. Correct me if Iβm wrong.
Just learned today is the 45th anniversary of the Wow signal and that means I can post the annual photographic evidence of my tattoo.

In 1983 one of the eeriest encounters in Sweden took place, set in the idyllic community of Haverdal. Read all about this creepy incident, it's something special and a favorite of mine.

I donβt want to brag, but I just landed my dream job. Possibly the most fitting project ever for me to work with. Thanks for all the good vibes! β€οΈ
Mom's husband of 35 yrs, Torfinn, passed away peacefully today. Incredibly kind, always evolving, and a calm (and kinda grumpy) presence in a chaotic world. He was a hell of a driver, sailor of the seven seas, and incredibly beloved. Safe passage, Torfinn β€οΈ
This fella was seen in a forest in Sweden in 1991. The witness actually describes him as having been flattened by a steamroller, and kind of 2D-ish but still very much a real, living thing.

I read somewhere Liberace was a member of the Church of Satan and a good friend of Anton LaVey, which just makes Satanism even more awesome than it already was :) I hope its true!
Mark my words, there are no βdemonicβ aliens. Thereβs no demons. ALL of that is conservative, religious, right wing fascist bullshit to scare and manipulate weak-minded fools.
Yeah, who the fuck are

This is Veikko Tupasela. On June 9, 1981, he and his fiance Lena Manninen plus their friend Pavo MekelΓ€ were on their way to Furusund in the Stockholm archipelago. Just aboutΒ to cross a narrow bridge they saw a brown Volvo Amazon with a blue roof coming from the other side.
The highlight of the day was easily when my dad showed up unexpectedly and surprised me at the UFO-Expo. We havenβt seen each other for years. It made me very, very happy.
Uppland, Sweden, 1918. The parents are pulling their daughter through a hole in a tree, to cure her from rickets. In Sweden these trees are called SmΓΆrjtrΓ€d, which literally mean Lubrication Tree. Another name is Troll Tree.

I need to process The Unbinding a bit (itβs great), but the biggest shock for me came when the guys are entering the area at the end, and an eerie, fragile version of a Swedish lullaby starts to play - the song my mom sang me so many times. I didnβt expect that.
Today marks exactly 16 years since I met this remarkable man, Grzegorz. It's been ups and downs, mostly ups - and I'm forever grateful for what we have together, for the past, current, and future adventures. β€οΈ
Iβm still after when it comes to all podcasts Iβm following, but at the moment this is in my ears and once again, for the umpteenth time, I want to say how important it is to be able to laugh at and with all the weird stuff out there. Bravo

I will participate in a Swedish mystery convention in November, and this is the promo pic I took by the kitchen table. I think it turned out pretty cool!
Sweden, outside NorrkΓΆping, 1973. Anyone heard about this one?
"A man walking alone in a wooded was stunned to see several approaching humanoid figures of varying sizes, ranging from 1m to 1.80m in height that seemed to be gliding over ground without any means of propulsion...
Emanuel Swedenborgβs gazebo. In here he conducted many seances and channeling sessions. Itβs also haunted, and it might happen youβll see his pale face peeking out from one of the windowsβ¦
So because Iβm out of work in a few weeks and shouldnβt spend money on unnecessary stuff I just ordered an original first edition of Ted Owenβs How to Contact Space People.
"We Will Be Back: The 1944 Alien Abduction at Klissberget". In my new text I take a look at a seldom mentioned Swedish close encounter, a story the witness kept to himself for 40 years until the visitors sent him a message in 1984.

Every year when the sun comes out my elderly neighbors sit here to chat and drink coffee. However, all of them passed away the last 4-5 months and itβs all very sad. Happy someone put out the chairs, almost like a memorial.
This biatch (the husband) is 42 today and we celebrated with cheap Indian cuisine, a few beers and a deep, long and complex discussion about consciousness. ππ§ πͺ

The news of my eccentric uncle Gunnar's passing has just reached me. He had some kind of celebrity status, as he had a ton of pet goats following him everywhere! His nickname was Getmannen, the goat man.
For the ufo-documentary we're doing interviews with people on the street, and one brilliant man - who turned out to be a Finnish philosopher - recommends the reporter to watch

I apologize for spamming you with so much Swedish UFO-stuff, but I actually found a little follow up to this case, where the man - "Mr Anonymous" wrote a letter with a final note on it all.
Two competing documentary teams doing two separate documentaries about UFOs on the same event! Itβs like the scene in Man Bites Dog but friendlier ;)
Shades of Gray - a documentary about writer, trickster and ufologist Gray Barker. Never heard about it until now (itβs from 2009) and itβs pretty great.

Now, this is how paranormal television should be done.

βs Uncanny is such a breath of fresh air compared to all the hysterical shows out there.
Someone, one of our listeners, reminded me of this strange case from Sweden. Should I write something about it you think? It's always been in the fringe of what I've been researching, because it's a bit too woo. But hey, that's me I guess.
My stance for quite some time is that the phenomena, whatever it is, is totally neutral by itself and only react to the emotions of those experiencing it. If you think itβs fun, it will behave playful. If you find it scary, it will be frightening.
Lars ThΓΆrn was out driving on his moped together with his four year old son one day. Suddenly he saw something reflecting up in the sky, a UFO that slowly descended. He stopped and snapped two photos with his Minolta camera.
