I want to know why a hill was built in the middle of this roundabout in Farmington Hills (Orchard Lake Road). My perspective is that you are now blinded from seeing ANY oncoming traffic, which makes it more hazardous. I’m truly dumbfounded and need an explanation. 🤷‍♂️

Just back from the grocery store, and 1/3 of the people in there were not masked. Do you want out of this pandemic? Then wear your mask, whether you are vaccinated or not. My brother didn’t wear a mask to the grocery store, and almost died from COVID. It’s that simple.

Shameful: a good friend of mine went to a local golf store to buy a new set of clubs. She walked out 20 min later after not one salesman - all male - offered to help her. Many male customers who came in AFTER her, were offered assistance. 😡 She’s taking her business elsewhere.

Happy Birthday, Detroit! On this date in 1701, Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac arrived at the foot of what is now Shelby Street, where the river narrowed. The French word for narrow is “troit.” They built a fort and called it Ponchartain du Detroit, and this is how we got our name.

Exactly 35 years ago, a surgeon had just completed removal of a malignant, aggressive tumor. A secondary tumor was addressed via horrific chemotherapy so harsh that I had to be hospitalized five days each time to receive it. But the end justified the means. Never give up…

Hey early risers - again, don’t focus on the snow amounts. It appears that moisture behind the Arctic front wasn’t robust. Rather, winds are already gusting over 40mph and it’s going to get worse. Wind chills are already sub-zero and it’s going to get worse. Be safe out there.

My Farmington Hills rain total since Friday is now up to 3.97”. I just got off the phone with @tigers superintendent of grounds, Heather Nabozny, and she told me that she recorded 6.8” in her rain gauge at the stadium. That’s insane.

Update: Snow develops Mon morning...initial thought is 3-7” for most of the area...highest north and least south. The bitter cold that follows will be the worst since 1/19/94. We won’t get above zero on Wed. Wind chills down to -30°. Multiple school closing days this week.
