Just got Vaccinated at the Cloverdale Rec Center. Today’s Vaccine was Pfizer ! Please everyone do your part and get Vaccinated let’s stop the spread. Wear your mask - wash your hands and get vaccinated.
I encourage everyone to take a moment on Labour Day to thank all the Healthcare Professionals and frontline workers who have worked tirelessly throughout this Pandemic. We owe you a debt of gratitude!

A fascinating study in human nature. Criticize the press for not asking tough questions & when you do - criticize them for doing so. A no win situation. Continue to do your job- ask the tough questions & report the truth & rise above the spin & the BS. That’s all you can do!
I would like to congratulate Andrew Wilkinson on being elected as our new leader. I am committed to doing everything I can to make sure we elect a BC Liberal government in the next election.
I just wanted to point out that approx 11% of the population in Alberta- Saskatchewan and Manitoba is Ukrainian. Canada has one of the largest pop of Ukrainians outside of the Ukraine. Many farmers. Let’s show some compassion and empathy.
I feel I need to repeat this yet again! My image is being used by a number of Candidates in the Surrey Civic Election. I have NOT and will NOT endorse anyone.
Neetu is a great interviewer - she is well prepared and equally tough on all Leaders. She plays no favourites and that’s why she’s so good !

After a grilling from Global BC’s Neetu Garcha (on reconciliation, housing, Bill 21, feminism, and Afghanistan), Prime Minister Justin Trudeau complains that he didn’t get to talk about what he wanted to talk about — then gets scorched for it. 😬

Some horrendous comments on social media are directed towards
@KamalaHarris
& I would like to say this: as women we need to celebrate the achievements of our sisters - be proud of the women they have become & work to empower our daughters & the daughters of others. Well done!
Vice President-elect Kamala Harris begins her speech by quoting the late Rep. John Lewis: “Democracy is not a state. It is an act.”
“What he meant was that America’s democracy is not guaranteed. It is only as strong as our willingness to fight for it.”
Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum responding to BC Liberal announcement on police transition. Says he's "appalled" Andrew Wilkinson would "stoop to this level of desperation". OOF

Stop the finger pointing and Please remind me again who the housing minister was under Premier Horgan? 🤔 TODAY we have the most unaffordable housing in the country !
Previous governments let speculators put housing out of reach. We're putting people first & getting affordable homes on the market. I’m proud to announce nearly 1500 homes for Burnaby residents –including seniors who’ve told me how hard housing is to find.
How about FREE hospital parking NOW, at least until this pandemic is over? Heard from an anesthesiologist (with a parking pass) who got a ticket for staying in a spot for too long. Many ticketed nurses have reached out too. At least STOP with ticketing?

So many women and young girls have dealt with violence & abuse. This alters the trajectory of their life. With the greatest of respect walking in pink high heels does nothing. Please teach each other how to treat & respect women. That would be most impactful.
Violence against women is still prevalent in our society. Hope in Heels is an event that spreads awareness on violence against women while encouraging men and boys to be part of the solution. We wore their signature pink heels in support to this important cause.

The Blackfeet Nation in Montana gifted their surplus COVID-19 vaccines (750 doses) to nearby residents in Alberta, Canada.
People drove for hours and lined up for miles on the highway to be vaccinated at a mobile clinic set up at the border crossing.
Premier Eby may be a ‘man of action,’ but it's in the face of BC NDP inaction over the past year that has left the messes he's forced to clean up.

If the Conservatives truly want to win - they have to choose a leader who leans more to the centre. I would like to see the party truly transform itself by choosing a female leader. It's time.

A big thank you to all the First Responders - Police - Fire- Ambulance who are out in the freezing cold - snow & ice to keep us safe. To all the road crews in Metro - a big thank you for working around the clock ! Much appreciated !
Update: The summer pollution price rebate is starting to go out to people in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Watch out for your payment – these rebates are worth up to hundreds of dollars.
We owe such a debt of gratitude to our first responders- nurses- doctors - all medical personnel and the leadership of Dr. Bonnie Henry. Can’t imagine where we would be without them. Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you. !
Medical staff across the province are doing thousands of tests every day, Dr. Bonnie Henry says, and that testing is showing “a number of positives” every day.
She will be a great MLA. I am so proud of her as a woman for all that she has accomplished in her career and as a mother - a community advocate and as a friend. She deeply cares about the issues we deal with on a daily basis and she wants to effect change. So proud!

I don't see any evidence of that. If the election had an impact it would created a spike everywhere (since all regions vote). But the surge is in Surrey and pretty well no where else. Which suggests another factor at play: i.e. ongoing weddings, funerals and Halloween in Surrey.
No no no ! Targeting health care workers is unconscionable ! Metro Vancouver has designated truck routes ! Enforce your bylaws ! Allow peaceful protest in appropriate areas. Just saying.
Vancouver healthcare workers are being told to change out of their scrubs and hide their ID if they need to go outside Saturday, when a planned protest against COVID-19 vaccines and restrictions is set to pass three hospitals

Many British Columbians are very interested in the COVID19 situation right next door in Washington. Plus, I'm a journalist who reports and comments on things. So there's that. Anyone else think I shouldn't report on what's going on to the immediate south of us?

💯 percent ! This is not a political issue it is a Public Health issue. He has polarized and divided the country for the sake of power and given the PPC a platform and in a 4 th wave of the pandemic hosts rallies and breaks public health rules.

politicized the vaccination issue at the start of the campaign, contributing to lower take up in provinces like Alberta. “I think he tried to benefit from making it a wedge issue. He’s been inflammatory about it,” he said.
Can someone please explain how on earth Mayor & his team can trash talk - disparage -& be so disrespectful in their actions & language to the RCMP then expect “ 60” % (direct quote) to join his Police Force? If they are good enough to switch over WHY aren’t they good enough now?

You can’t build a city or a region based on a poll. You can have at grade rail and you can have sky train. Shape a city and move people. The two are not mutually exclusive ! Don’t be so myopic let’s look at the bigger picture ! It’s a great view !!
Actually that a lie! We expanded the parkade to generate revenue & further expand the downtown core. It’s called “Vision” so taxes don’t have to be increased. It’s called “fiscal responsibility” so taxation is not in the backs of the residents. Just saying !
Correction. It’s $9 million, not $39 million.
You wouldn’t know anything about budgeting. You went over budget from $97 million to $150 million on building a new city hall that is already breaking down. You are in no position to ever talk economics.
