Terre Haute's population has declined in back to back censuses. The median income is among the lowest in the state. Childhood poverty in the Haute is DOUBLE the state average. While Mayor Bennett has made some strides, the numbers indicate that CHANGE is needed.

A ton I dislike in this article. But i love that former Mayor Duke Bennett got quoted. Duke is a lifelong ISU fan and a great guy. While we disagree at times, I'm thankful for his help these first few months. 🤝🏾

Comparing building permit #s from 2023 to 2024: April saw a large increase in total permits, permit value, & new builds. $5.6M to $16.79M in total permit value. New build permit value went from 0 to $9.7M. The comeback story of Terre Haute is being written in real time.

Tomorrow morning, I'll make the trip to the statehouse in Indianapolis. There are several bills that have an impact on the Terre Haute community, ranging from casino revenue to recruiting law enforcement personnel. I am looking forward to discussing Terredise in the 317.

The Homes for the Future Program has brought 271 new housing units to Terre Haute. Through infil housing, new home development, and home rehabilitation, our city has proven we can rebuild in a few shorts month. Let's keep building in Terre Haute!

I'm in tears. Unfortunately at 9:00am, my smoker broke. The water tray spilled and must've ruined the heating unit. The smoker is unable to heat itself past 100 degrees. This hurts more than you can imagine. I'll be taking no questions at this time.

It's officially March....which means smoking season has started. Looking at a 3LB Prime Rib Garlic Pepper smoke tomorrow. Will try it with trailer hardwood pellets at 225 degrees. Spent last season on the campaign trail, so this will be my first smoke in a long time.
