The vertical axe throw drill is to help players get the bat behind and through a down & inside pitch without rolling their hands over. The rotation of the axe allows the hitter to see barrel acceleration. The direction of the spin shows the bat angle at point of contact!

When young pitchers are practicing a strong finish the Balance Drill is unpractical because it uses the smaller/weaker muscles of the quad instead of the stronger glutes/hamstrings. Do the Dowel Superman Drill! Use the glutes/hamstrings to brace the front leg & rotate the truck.

Flip the Hips Drill! Great for infielders to work on athletically flipping their hips into the throw during a cut off throw. Have the fielder stand with his/her feet at a "3 & 9 o'clock" position and on a clap, have them flip their feet to a "12 & 6" position and throw the ball.
