@elonmusk ...electricity isn’t used for transaction processing. It’s used to secure the network. Doge is PoW meaning it faces the same basic dynamics as Bitcoin. It uses less electricity now because it’s less secure.

BTC isn't a safe haven (yet). I've always predicted it would decline with a big equity sell off. Frankly, I'm very surprised at how well it's held up. BTC up 7%+ on the year with equities down ~15%. We'll have to see what happens, but darn good performance for a risky asset.

5/ stay grounded. Hang out with non-crypto people, friends, family etc. Go for a hike, go camping, get away from screens on occasion. Read a book. Meditate. Do things that bring your cortisol and adrenaline levels down.

On BTC as a safe haven....during standard panics, *everything* sells off except cash. That's because people want the stuff that lets them buy food and pay rent. Fear = everything falls except cash. BTC does well when people *fear cash* - when they fear inflation/depreciation.
