Police brutality
Unequal education
Maternal mortality
Child welfare involvement
These are all systems in which, and are not an exhaustive list, of the ways in which systemic racism is *quantifiable*. This is what we want with BLM. This is what needs changing. Not murals painted
Black women are 243% more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth-related complications than white women — this father brought his heartbreaking story to Congress to change that
@JoshuaPHilll
Elno did not take into account that we on Twitter are just a bunch of toddlers running around with scissors. And Photoshop. And $8.
That folks are going around and stabbing folks with said scissors is absolutely not a surprise, in any fashion.

There... is no cleaning crew. It's the flight attendants. Who actually don't get paid for that time, interestingly enough.
Pickup after your own children.
@MarkB_LifeStyle
A diamond is compressed carbon.
Getting one that isn't exploiting and murdering Black children and youth in Congo and elsewhere is the ONLY diamond I ever want. All anyone should want.
Why does exploiting children make a diamond better? Be specific
@deep_dab
The point of each of these types of packages is so that you... have it packaged.
This is both really gross on a texture level and also nonsensical from a cleanliness and packaging level
@MusicHeadnMoney
@himbo_chico
@ceewilldotcom
Exactly this. That's a great therapist. And they know that others have more skill in the areas that you need.
It's not a bad thing. We all have our areas of expertise. That's all. Sending love ♥
@blaize__smith
Bodies have many instinctual responses. That's ancient. But we have evolved from that.
Words are higher order thinking. They're the actual human in front of you. Listen to that. Period.
@maxwellstrachan
Sounds like buyingup housing to not rent it long term, thus destroyingthe housing market and skyrocketing prices wasn't such a great idea, hhmm?
When you watched him as a child and thought, he was painting the same thing over and over again when he was actually painting a whole journey over time.
@colorherqueen
Lots of folks are locally. The governor, state level Black caucus, state AG and local NAACP are all involved.
Protests are being organized for the weekend of the 17th
@Tinkzorg
Such a truly bizarre thin to mention.
Lots of people don't eat pork. Not just Muslims. It's literally in the Bible to not eat pork, if you're so pressed about people of certain religions not eating pork

I love that there are people willing to screw with huge corporations to turn around and make other's lives' better. I wish we could all do much more of this

They were relieved after 3 weeks of absolute chaos.
Reading isn't your strong suit, is it?
@AugustinaJJD

Tens of thousands will die over... this.
You are actively killing human women over nonsense that churches didn't even recognize as human life until advanced science could pinpoint it.
I'm so sorry you weren't aborted.
@sentientist
When one of the two is fine with other people dying, losing their rights, being murdered, it is no longer appropriate to still be friends.
Ffs. This terrible take ended before the presidency even started.
@itsjoebro14
But... both are wrong? The teacher seeing these issues for the entire year, not talking to the child to see what's up? He's sleeping in class and you didn't once pull him aside and... speak to him?
Mom sounds detached, too, if this is even half right.
@solomonmissouri
Also, until about 150 years ago men were always in pinks and reds because blues were considered female colors. Humors and all that.
It's all made up
@HeyAprill
She's right, she can't know all personal things going on.
So, how about you let the student tell you what they need and you respond appropriately, ffs.
She came prepared. Doesn't mean she didn't need to use the restroom with said preparedness.
@AugustinaJJD
@chrislhayes
Nope. That's not what would have been aborted. What I posted above.
And, let me be abundantly clear I both grew up Catholic and studied it for years.
You don't understand your own Catholic history. You know post Vatican II and that's it. You don't know actual Catholicism
@salcarnival
@CSMFHT
I don't know. That's a pretty accurate and fabulous and succinct summary of Vesuvius. It was actually possibly the best part in there!
@DyjuanTatro
These cops acted like cops. But forgot that even being a cop doesn't protect them from being Black in this country.
The only reason there are repercussions are because these cops are Black. That's it. They embraced being cops, thinking it would protect them. Racism rules here
@JustAFamilyMan_
This is one of the main reasons that women in abusive relationships stay.
Sure, have a joint account. But also have your private accounts
@CarlPaulus
Are you aware that there is a difference between being *in* a mass shooting and being "impacted by a mass shooting". You're aware that, in the English language, those mean different things, yes?

When a child leaves a massive mess, yes, it is your responsibility as a parent to take care of the worst of it. Or prevent it. That is literally part of being a parent.
Attendants aren't paid for hours that aren't in the air.
I'd be happy to call you on your negligence
@shaTIRED
I had 3 kids begging me last night to let them help cook. One was cutting, another was stirring, the third took it upon herself to set the table which, in a chair and limited mobility is a big deal.
Kids learn best at this age, why would one not teach them when they're willing?
@LAPDChiefMoore
I feel like you should know the law prior to being given a gun to enforce it. Because you're legally and constitutionally wrong.

People tend to project their own problems, failings, and grossness onto their kids.
He felt a need to "protect" her because he knows how terrible humans can be. Because he was one of those terrible humans.
@ShayyStayFly
I really hope one day you learn what fascism actually is. There are whole entire scholars who have dedicated their entire lives to the study and you could follow to learn what actual threat of fascism is currently in this country.
Hint: it isn't vaccine mandates
@RepVernonJones
You surfed a crowd of people who wouldn't hesitate to call you the n word if they didn't just shoot you, without a mask, in a pandemic. Whoo
@Mike_Pence
Teaching nationalism under the guise of patriotism is how the Nazis created their power. Very literally.
But, you'd need to have basic understanding and an ability to think critically to understand that
@GianmarcoSoresi
@dst6n01
When you're poor, missing a flight isn't an option.
When you're poor anxiety is constant and so you reduce it where you're able.
@TheNikkiRosa
Well, Colorado was the first state to abolish slavery in the US. Has cold weather sometimes, but we also get weeks of 70degrees in January. Pot is legal. We have an Educated and healthy population, comparative to the US.
So, pretty damned good.
@ehernandez
I mean, many of those young people grew up doing shooting drills in school because we, as a country, refuse to accept that we have a problem.
@vaxxedandproud
@BoredPrez
@evanhill
@rewegreatyet
It literally doesn't matter. The gunman was not secured. Having terrified children call out is the worst possible option when you haven't bothered to yet neutralize the threat. Everyone who has ever done an active shooter drill knows this. Every cop in this country had been told
@Jhenesangel
So you... put him on the internet to shame him? Instead of being grown and having a conversation?
Yes, this bathroom is utterly disgusting. But, you are shaming a guy instead of having a grown ass conversation.
You're as disgusting as his habits are. At least his can be fixed
@TheMcKenziest
Bed, Bath, and B* actively trains it managers to supress unions. They massively overwork their salaried employees (already a mandatory 47 hours a week) and expect you to achieve goals and service that were made with 2x the staff. My GM was actively misogynistic; they didn't care
@ProfTonyPollard
Do you do this for artefacts that are non-European in origin?
It does capture the moment of a man's death. It also captures the absurdity of war. It captures something that happened generations ago. With time, humor comes.
If one can't laugh about history, don't study it.
@HottyCouture
That and Da Vinci took so much time and pride in hair. 3 of them are just... weird waves. The 4th has individual curls that have different light hitting them.
@Jayy_wealth
Of all the things to worry about in food service, silverware goes through an exceptionally hot (read: germ killing) dishwasher. Hotter than any water you've ever washed in. Likely with bleach.
And that lemon? Not so much. You just further contaminated your own silverware
@ShaniyaLaNay1
@ceosonson
@theonlybbwdon
So, you took it to a more contaminated area and used water insufficiently hot to sterilize but exposed it to extra fecal matter?
That is certainly a choice

Make your own what, my guy? Formula? Breastmilk? Say you've never spoken to a historian or a woman ever before without saying...
@BadVaccineTakes
"Is there anything I need to do to prevent them from catching" is just a hell of a thing to ask. Because clearly they understand that the MMR prevents it or they wouldn't bring it up
@Maladroithe
In Dachau I, an American, had to ask a Canadian to stop loudly scraping his yoghurt container he was eating from as we walked through buildings. Interrupted the guide and everything.
@AugustinaJJD
@chrislhayes
And, being real, I doubt you actually have much knowledge of post Vatican II outside of the protestant version of Catholicism that the US Catholics practice.
You are way, way outside of your child-like understanding of your own religion. I promise.
@nytimes
I was going to say yes.
But I wholly changed my mind. Stay away from her. She deserves people who actually love her to be around her. Keep your toxic self away
@RioSlade
Not too long ago, while telling my sisters that I didn't want dad to have to attend a bunch of unmasked lawyer meetings my sister said "well, he makes his own decisions" about our 80yo dad. Like a) uh, OK I guess and b) I also don't want to get sick when he brings it home? Wtf?
@LlLBlITCH
It means that Mexican and other Hispanic owners are finally getting paid for the worth of the food.
Yes, I miss cheap tacos. And, also, people whose native food this is deserve to get paid well for it
