Think more needs to be made of Hannibal’s performance. In a huge pressure situation he was mature and very useful. I’d have given him MOTM personally. He’s 20 years of age, wasn’t intimidated but didn’t go the other way either. Professional performance which really helped.

@DeshpalPanesar A lovely letter but it clearly goes against what the children involved wanted. I think many are missing that crucial point. All things being equal (and there being no safeguarding issues), the desire of the children in such cases should be paramount.

Demanded an exit last summer. Gave a long interview explaining why he wanted out. Then his father negotiated a new 5 year deal which would see him play for 2 but be paid for 5, to avoid a huge pay cut. He wouldn’t be impacted even if he played for free. Spare me the drama.
