So many people criticised the response in NSW (mockdown and so on) . But unlike Victoria & Queensland there was an increase in life expectancy for men and women. All while NSW did the heavy lifting (freight and taking in returning Australians).

Yes fining people -- especially Indigenous people or CALD people -- for not wearing masks outdoors or sitting on benches was protective. Stopping people going to funerals or seeing dying relatives in hospitals was protective. And closing borders was not at all restrictive

It's very odd that some people assume that the elderly (eg those aged 80+) wish for mask mandates and greater restrictions. What evidence is there, for example, that older people want border restrictions, masks in schools, restrictions on indoor dining, and so on?

The amount of abuse in Australia directed at paediatricians and infectious diseases physicians and ATAGi members has been one of the worst aspects of the pandemic. Much has come from doctors and academics and their followers (including pieces of farm equipment).
