Attention applicants: half of the letter writers from the tele-US clinical experiences write the same letter for everyone making the letters useless. I know this won't help you this year but tell your colleagues they should ask up front if the letter will be personalized.

Conrad makes a point. All of you who want us to read PS and LOR, no PD can do that for 6000 applicants. Impossible. We need to be able to filter on something. Step 2 is a close as you get to an equalizer for medical knowledge across medical schools. Now signals help too.

I suggest if you are applying to Jacobi IM and really want the primary care track, if you are still not able to signal that track, apply to regular categorical and primary care categorical, and signal the main program. Then when I ask you your future interest, you can specify.
