I wrapped up the day visiting the ⁦ @USNatArchives ⁩ staff at Lee’s Summit Federal Records Center and ⁦ @KCArchives ⁩. I was able to view my father’s veteran record from his service with the US Army and see a court case involving the Care Bears!

As the Archivist of the U.S., it was my pleasure to welcome Ms. Edith Lee-Payne back to the National Archives last week. As a big fan of the ⁦ @TODAYshow ⁩, it was exciting to meet ⁦ @craigmelvin ⁩ and see the crew at work

We are very fortunate at the @USNatArchives to hold the original master plans of @NatlParkService parks and monuments from 1931-1941. The art on the covers is magnificent, as can be seen on this master plan for @DinosaurNPS !

More than 1.5 million visitors come to the National Archives Museum in Washington, DC, every year to see our nation’s founding documents and other exhibits. I recently met students from Fulton, IL, and families from Troy, UT, and Oil City, PA.

I was delighted to welcome my former @librarycongress colleagues to the Archives today. They work for the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, a wonderful program that enables everyone to read. ❤️
