Welcome to YC

Intelliga Health (YC S23) streamlines insurance workflows for medical practices, saving frontline staff 100s of hours each month while enabling more patients to access the treatments they need.
There’s a lot of uncertainty about what the future of GPU availability + LLM deployments will look like. I am *certain* it will be a future largely dictated by BaseTen.
Unparalleled tech + customer focus = a juggernaut.
Huge congrats!!!!
We're excited to announce that we've raised a $40M Series B to help power the next generation of AI-native products with performant, reliable and scalable inference infrastructure.
I have used a LOT of GPU providers. Hands down the most reliable one is
@basetenco
They never have gone out for us, the team is always around, and the Truss system just…. makes sense…
Some of the best friends I’ve ever had, are just people who I know I can call that will be excited for me. They just match the energy.
No questions, no “back to earth”, just true excitement and happiness. Sometimes it’s people I barely know.
a venture fund that just invests *completely* blindly 50k, as long as the company is sub 10M cap.
the company has to be recommended by other “portfolio” companies who have raised over (x) amount.
I bet you it would outperform. By a lot.
Tbh I don’t think Google / Meta / Apple are dropping any balls right now. I think they don’t mind the impression that they are “behind”
Don’t forget, Google invented transformers. Apple invented the iPhone. Meta had Llama and saw the VR tsunami on the horizon. They aren’t dumb.
I used
@getonboardai
last night for the first time. I think it saved me like 4 hours.
I have never really used AI code assistants, and my mind has been blown. They processed huge chunks of complex code and applied abstract concepts.
*not a paid shoutout*
Selling my solar eclipse glasses business.
Huge growth potential for big run in 2040s. Slight churn issue, but no issue for right founder.
+999716% in ARR in last 3 days. Getting out for personal reasons. HMU.
Which VC thought to themselves “i know I’ll have the partner on this call pretend to be 5 minutes late and the founder will never know we bait and switched them”??
It’s so painfully obvious, and an immediate red flag on how they conduct themselves.
Serious question:
Why do VCs who are *not* invested in me feel the need to send competitors every time they see one? Like this seems to be a super common behavior and is frustrating / feels like negging.
Am I thinking about this wrong?
Today, we are excited to announce
@greptileai
's $4.1M seed round led by Initialized Capital, with participation from
@ycombinator
,
@RichAberman
and
@JdotJdotF
.
We are building the AI expert that *truly* understands large codebases. (1/5)
Nothing gets me more excited than watching incredible people ship fast. It’s a great reminder of the magic you can deliver as a startup — even as you scale.
Idk how hard this is technically, but would love a feature from Apple or someone else that remembers my monitor layout for different monitors.
Sucks switching between screens and having to rearrange
@Superhuman
as a founder with a healthy dose of ADHD, snippets have actually changed my entire life. I have snippets for my Calendly, NDAs, all the basic things that I always need and often get stuck digging up from other places. Phenomenal part of Superhuman!!
I really hope
@taylorswift13
opens a venture fund. I’d gladly take Tickets for equity, those things are more stable and higher yield than treasury bonds.
Like 11 months ago
@sobhan_nejad
and I built in an hour
Somehow it’s still like
#1
or 2 result on Google for “paralegal Ai”???? We get like 250 unique queries a day. It’s STILL running on Dav03
Anyone have good ideas of what to do with it?
@supabase
the fact that when I click on a table, you save the last filter / sort I performed, has probably saved me 10 hours this week lol
Just wanted to toss in that was a baller feature :)
A lot of my friends keep asking how they can learn how to code.
Just… build things you think are interesting. It’s no different than sports or anything else. More reps = getting better.
1/ 📣 Big news from Anon! We've raised $6.5M from

Out of everyone saying this is wrong I stand firm. Our monofile is sick. Western society has told us we need “seperate files” but in front of the compiler are we not all but one file?
Today, I am really excited to announce the Greptile API, a simple yet powerful REST API with all the functionality developers love from the Greptile web app.
You can use the API to index any set of repos, and query them in natural language.
We want to empower every developer…
I just don’t think it’s set in yet.
Soon:
Perfect virtual immersion
Infinite generative content
Instead of “AI safety” people freaking out over ChatGPT saying a curse word THIS is the stuff they need to worry about. We are about to burn a whole generation of kids
You could create a filtered network of founders and avoid classic pitfalls of overfitting.
You’d also be a crazy founder friendly fund — 50k of totally hassle free money as long they are friends with someone who you’ve invested in that’s raised a seed.
Tipflation is out of control and will inevitably hurt the average American and service workers. It’s unacceptable to replace wages with a forced gratuity system, especially for purchases that involve no service.
Tipflation is going to very quickly show us how much people value human service.
If I have to pay an extra $2 every time I order a coffee I’d rather just use an IPad
Astonishing, I know YC isn’t a universal thing but this feels almost intentionally mean lmfao. As a country, YC (and other great accelerators who are literally giving people money to make US businesses) should be on a chart in the immigration office with a big thumbs up.
We’ve noticed there have been many misconceptions around modular account standards, and wanted to highlight some of the latest thinking there: .

We’ve been trying to run ads for our twitter for a while now, but keep getting no reply? (we were told that we were banned because we advertised a free credit)
If there’s anything we can do to get back the privilege please let us know!!
There’s a lot of applications where time sensitivity of the LLM response will matter more than the model used (Claude, Turbo, Llama). There should be an application layer that automatically changes models based off latency to optimize for the best one.
My non-Jewish girlfriend met my Jewish family for the first time on Hanukkah and was overwhelmed by all the latkes, dreidels, and love. But mostly the latkes.

Seeing so many companies that are just AWS wrappers. Crazy smh. How can you possibly expect to defend your business if your built on top of something else
