Liberalism is easy to grasp, flattering to man’s vanity, and largely false. Whereas conservatism, although offering a much better view of political reality, is harder to understand and downright insulting to man’s vanity. Which do you think people will be inclined to choose?

Young people may not remember that when Reagan proposed to shoot incoming missiles out of the sky in 1983, just about the entire left claimed it was impossible. Tonight hundreds of missiles are being shot out of the sky over Tel Aviv. Pray the shield holds.

In high school and college, I was on debate teams in which we learned how to defend *both* sides of every political issue. I can't imagine what debating clubs must be like today--now that only one side is accepted as legitimate. Do debate clubs even still exist?

I sympathize. Christmas didn’t make me happy when I was in the US either. But I choose to live in Israel where the holidays are from the torah. You *choose* to live in America. Why would you want to tell the Christian majority how “wearying and alienating” their holiday is?
