1) Some thoughts on tokens. You can't force value into a token. Period. Grafting artificial incentives onto a token (velocity sinks or mint/burn schemes) inherently adds friction (more gas per trade) to the detriment of users.

Trying to govern a stateless protocol is like trying to govern an idea. You can't. dApp governance tokens trying to govern a stateless protocol have no value because of the ease of forks. Only the governance tokens which govern deposited capital are valuable (eg: REP, MKR).

"Serverless" doesn't have to mean "everything on-chain". Non-blockchain decentralized message-passing networks (eg. as used by @0xProject @ethstatus ) can be a very valuable complement to blockchains, and offer important efficiencies in areas where global consensus is not required

Because @USTreasury doesn’t have proper tools to ensure tax compliance across all crypto market actors, the burden of tax reporting is falling on individuals. And companies are popping up to “generate tax forms” for individual investors… who they charge EXCESSIVE amounts.

"Smart contract" is the term used to help laymen understand the concept of a state machine. Ethereum smart contracts are tiny state machines that can be strung together to create complex systems. Sometimes these systems handle or manipulate digital assets.

Achievement unlocked: get schooled by @NickSzabo4 on the definition of "smart contract," a term he invented 😳 maybe a single-purpose Ethereum smart contract that enforces a simple obligation is comparable to a legal contract, but that's poor system design IMO.

No. We already have several words for that: "program." Also "software". Or "dApp" if it's distributed. You need not and should not abuse the phrase "smart contracts" to refer to programs that neither perform obligations, verify such performance, nor control assets.
