It’s that time of the year again! Come this 28 July, I will be cycling 800+km from Miri to Kuching as part of MMA’s annual charity cycling ride. We will be raising funds for Program ROSE - that aims to eliminate cervical cancer in Malaysian women. Many have asked why I do this.

The FMS covering KK Tangkarason currently resides in KK Telupid, which is 180KM away from KK Tangkarason. The incident affected nearly 3000 residents who depended entirely on the clinic's services. Thankfully, no casualties were reported in the incident.

I worked there for a month as an orthopaedic surgeon in June 2021 - case notes were saved as word documents in little folders labeled with month/date. In the OPD you had to use the search function to find the file. Anyone at anytime could edit and delete and no one would know! 😨

@Zaliha_DrZ @anwaribrahim I have personally carried a patient down the stairs when lifts broke down in a east coast hospital some years ago. Operating theater lights that fell from the ceiling in another hospital onto a doctor were only replaced after an anonymous letter was sent in.

Yup - we should be facilitating transfer of doctors to where they want to go, especially those with families, health issues, etc. But blanket two year transfer without criteria policy is irresponsible.
