Modern comics suffer from this too. Wish I saw colour and lighting designed more often for narrative & visual effect rather than trying to emulate reality. Every visual medium is absolutely littered with choices to be made. Emulating reality takes a vast swathe of them away.

@therightram @THEDrPrepperMD What is the difference? If you didn’t know it was AI? You’d say oh I see Allred and Bolland here for the Batman panels. But I wouldn’t say they were traced or exact. The differences are clear. So in process it’s different but the results are the same.
