On this day 31 years ago, it meant so much to my mum to finally have a living child, not a still born, not a miscarriage, a living child. And so, Oreoluwa was born. A gift to my mother to wipe all the tears she shed for 7 years. A miracle baby. Congrats to my mum. 🎉🫶🏾

And oh, to Asake thank you for Sunshine. It lifted me. Powered me. When there was some delay with my procedure, Sunshine calmed my anxiety. In the theatre, Sunshine eased me. The “Sun’s gonna shine…”was the last thing I heard before the anesthesia kicked in. It did shine.

Directing over 40 child actors in one production has got to be my biggest flex this year. My crew consisted of class teachers, actors were students who'd only been in in-school plays. Pressure to deliver nothing but excellence and we did it! Two shows at Muson sold out!

Each month is spent preparing for this must happen illness, with mini shocks of illness. Then the main event. Then your body goes into recuperation whilst sending reminders and nudging you towards the option of getting pregnant.

Three months post-op check has cleared me and my uterus 🥹🥹 Walking out of the hospital and my eyes are welling up real bad. No more hospital visits, intrusions and invasions, jabs, pills. And PAIN. Thank you so much, God. It’s been such a tiresome yet victorious journey.
