MOST college assistant coaches only contact you when you have a player they are interested in… I’ve learned the BEST recruiters are usually the guys who check in and stay in contact when you don’t have players for them‼️ It always comes full circle in recruiting

When you get to college, you’re on your own… No parent, HS/AAU coach, guardian, or trainer can save you. There’s no meetings with the coaching staff about playing time. You don’t have leverage‼️ Learning how to deal with adversity is a lost cause for most MS/HS kids + families

Not sure the young bucks in the area realize how dominant Terrelle Pryor was in basketball... dude had 39,26,10, and 6 in a WPIAL championship win against a LOADED Beaver Falls squad— imo 2004-2008 was golden age for hoops in WPA. The Palumbo Center was always packed 🔥🔥

Coach Win Palmer was a leader and father figure on and off the court to all student-athletes at Sewickley Academy. He was always firm, fair and consistent, willing to give you his time. He was a people person who valued genuine relationships. He will be sorely missed by many 🙏🏻❤️

I wish the @NCAA would allow a transfer portal showcase after the season… Would be a win/win for student-athletes and college coaches— gives both sides a chance for a proper evaluation, which most transfers haven’t gotten since high school and aau. A lot can change in 2/3 years
