A lot of coaches tell recruits to pick a school not a coach, but in all reality coaches can completely ruin a player’s experience. Of course, the school is important. But knowing who the coach is, not the sales person who is trying to get you to commit, is important.

One of my u14 kids goes to sub in & the sideline ref asks her who for (as there is no re-entry first half). She replies “pam”.. he stares at her blankly wanting her jersey # I go, “sir, come on you know Pam.” Other coach chimes in, “get it together sir, it’s Pam” 😂😂

today at the grocery store they were selling these over priced cheap soccer balls next to check out. this little girl kept saying she wanted one. we happened to walk out by each other. I grabbed one out of my trunk and threw it to her and her smile was so big, made my day. 🤗⚽️

HS coach tells team they didn’t work hard enough. And they lost because they didn’t try or care. Senior speaks up who literally left everything she had out on the field, “i worked my butt off tonight & never gave up.” Coach, “don’t disrespect me like that.” Some coaches ruin it.
