Today is the funeral of Mum, as she’s laid to rest with Dad. If you pray, or send positive thoughts etc, I’d appreciate that especially at 2pm (U.K. time) today. Thank you.

Just to say that, as some of you know, I was a carer for my mum since 2020, and she passed away very peacefully last night. It was as good an end as you could hope for, away from her struggles.

@sophielouisecc Free speech, as long as there are no white privilege lectures, woke nonsense or cancel culture? Am I missing the irony here? Surely if you believe in free speech you need to back people saying things that you object to?

@rupertsmum You are going to mark a community event. Atheists mark Christmas and Easter, Catholics can go to bonfire night. Personal views aren’t, in my view, the most important thing at such times. Join in, they will have cake. Why on earth would you not go?
