Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist you?
Mamma mia, does it show again?
My my, just how much I've missed you
Yes, I've been brokenhearted
Blue since the day we parted….my hair!
Today is the funeral of Mum, as she’s laid to rest with Dad. If you pray, or send positive thoughts etc, I’d appreciate that especially at 2pm (U.K. time) today. Thank you.
Just to say that, as some of you know, I was a carer for my mum since 2020, and she passed away very peacefully last night. It was as good an end as you could hope for, away from her struggles.
@sophielouisecc
Free speech, as long as there are no white privilege lectures, woke nonsense or cancel culture? Am I missing the irony here? Surely if you believe in free speech you need to back people saying things that you object to?
@markaherridge
@mrdanwalker
@trussliz
Until …….left weeks ago….
Leftie remoaners…..Evidence for this, when Sharp is the chairman and Davie is director general…..both signed up Conservatives
@ArchRose90
I notice people are focusing on Vorderman.
Hancock is still an MP, taking an MP salary, and The House was sitting yesterday. So why was he enjoying himself at a sports event?
@eleonorasfalcon
@boggler99
@Yogablackbelt
Outrageous!
You are effectively boasting of having a competent husband who can do all the shopping correctly.....he has let husbands down everywhere, and you are opening yourself to having him seduced by women who would love a competent partner...
@SoVeryBritish
Not a sitcom but
All the right notes but not necessarily in the right order
And
He’s not going to sell many ice creams going at that speed, as I see a fire engine etc……
@rupertsmum
You are going to mark a community event. Atheists mark Christmas and Easter, Catholics can go to bonfire night. Personal views aren’t, in my view, the most important thing at such times. Join in, they will have cake. Why on earth would you not go?
@KateRobbins
@alisonkatebr
As a Christian I do wonder how the protestor with very short cut hair copes with this from Leviticus
“Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard”
@danwootton
Why? What’s the question?
Why are you tweeting a couple who haven’t agreed to it? Why are you encouraging judgmental attitudes? Why aren’t you applauding the freedom to do what you want, even if you wouldn’t do it yourself?
Random question April 19
What are your earliest TV memories?
Mine include Mr Benn, Bod, The Flumps, Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine, Trumpton, Mr Men (narrated by Arthur Lowe) and Roobarb and Custard
@westcountrybird
I don't know why these so called alpha males have to make the point they are alpha male. It honestly denigrates the phrase for us real alpha males.....
Thank you for all the wonderful messages about Mum’s funeral. It has concluded and was an appropriate celebration. It just shows that whilst this social media can be the worst of places at times, it is also the best of places and I thank you all for your kindness.
I’d like to dedicate this photo to Martin Billany who passed today, May he find in death the peace that alluded him in life, and to all those who mourn him.
@amandajplatell
Liz Truss voted for remain too.
Stop rewriting history as if the only thing Johnson was doing was brexit. He resigned when most of his cabinet had no confidence in him, even the brexit supporting ones.
@revpaulwhite
And I’ve had a phone call from his Holiness Pope Gregory IX, inviting me to join him for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the Saucy Sue, currently wintering in Montego Bay, with the England cricket team, and the Balinese Goddes of Plenty.
I awake today with mixed feelings - by the end of it I'll be divorced, but only because she wants it and can't stay married to me, but I must focus on the positives and face the future with something resembling hope
Thank you so much for the likes, and the comments regarding the passing of my mum. It’s certainly true I’ve had easier periods of my life, but with the knowledge it was peaceful and with the people who have reached out, this really can be the best forum. So thank you
@JakeBerry
I suppose work can go on in different ways. Unless our representatives in parliament aren’t working unless they are in the House of Commons. Why is PMQs so important to attend and other debates not?
@AlStewartOBE
Baby talk? It’s about six hundred years old, and refers to the soul leaving the body and passing on. Sorry you don’t like the richness of the English language……
@emilieKMmurphy
People that make fun of others are sadly just showing their own insecurities, those that join in, make the effort and embrace things like world book day! Well done, you made an extraordinary effort and can hold your head up high.
@Otto_English
What possible reason would any teacher have for asking that, apart from a feeble attempt to write an article?
Many patriotic pages here seem to hate U.K. as it is today, what they love is an imaginary past.
@CamillaTominey
So....
It's not ok for Harry to write details in a book, but ok for Robert Hardman to, using insider (so not able to be verified) sources??
The Daily Mail lied when it published this article??
@andersleijersta
If I was being mischievous….
I might talk about someone moving to Wales and objecting to signs being in Wales…..
But that would be unworthy of me, obviously 😉
@GSowray
Surely a just response is one person per resident, else that's penalizing the unmarried, widows/widowers or those with spouses who aren't well themselves
@andreajenkyns
@ginsydooda
We don’t vote on any judges….dangerous idea, in my view…..
Tell me though, which political leader was involved in setting up ECHR?
Random question April 24
Not worrying about qualifications or experience, but if you could just get your ideal job, what would it be?
I think for me it would be leading wildlife walks
@sophielouisecc
And if I were to add the oddity of a self described ‘activist’ objecting to political activism? It is really is a most singular conundrum 🤔🤔🤔
@Becky_Boo_2
Did our ancestors use guns? Did they have birds bred, which aren’t native and damage the natural world? I love and understand the ancient world beyond the urban sprawl but I don’t feel the need to shoot things, except with a camera
@OhDoBoreOff
“You starvelling, you eel-skin, you dried neat’s-tongue, you bull’s-pizzle, you stock-fish–O for breath to utter what is like thee!-you tailor’s-yard, you sheath, you bow-case, you vile standing tuck!”
Henry IV Part 1 (Act 2, Scene 4)
Over the last few days I've seen loads of 'oh I've lost thousands of followers'. Today I might, just might, hit the dizzy heights of triple figures but thank you to those I have had contact with, I feel less alone, we've had some laughs and I am sorry if I have irritated you.
Thanks to the followers. I'll try and be interesting or funny, occasionally flirty or cheeky, I hope not to offend but tell me if I do rather than block. I don't hold any views cause they are right/left anti/woke, I hold them because I think they are true. Feel free to dm!
@catslaveto4
Yes, of course you are too old, when you are that old you should be spending all your money on werthers originals and denture cleaner……
NB the above is not meant to be taken seriously. Age is but a number, if you like it, go for it.
@mikeman1313
@blunted_james
As all this is from the public purse all should be scrutinised. What possible justification is there for paying for her, or any politician, prime subscription?
@andersleijersta
Question Time panel..... One Conservative MP, one former writer for the Times, one a writer for the Telegraph, so all very Labour, obviously.......and evidence of Fiona Bruce's political leanings?
@PoliticsPollss
Not while this year a “child killer” in Australia, and a “rapist” in U.K. were found to have been innocent all along. If the justice system is incapable of error then I might consider yes. But it isn’t.
@Pleromaj
@AndrewGraystone
@AFractalDragon
Yes I will, continue to wear a mask in the more significant places, ie transport and supermarkets, I don’t especially like wearing them, but I can see the argument.
I’m sure I heard similar arguments about wearing seatbelts
@AndrewRTDavies
Could you tell me who the establishment people are? You see, if I were giving a definition I guess I would say those that attended Oxford University…..but obviously that’s wrong…..
@joynes85
Well done for doing it, but look after yourself too.
Just hope it’s treated seriously….when I see the sentences for people who have been found for killing birds of prey 🤬🤬🤬
@GBGreatAgain
In fairness you’ve got to be careful with those signs….I looked at the Midwife signs in the doctor surgery and became pregnant just from looking at those signs. It must be true, I’ve written it on X…..
Having been blocked today by someone I considered a friend without warning can I ask anyone to at least say before blocking why you feel the need to do that!
@MerielMyers
In rough chronological order
Groucho Marx - I’m a committed Marxist
Morecambe and Wise
Tommy Cooper
Frankie Howerd
Victoria Wood
Lee Mack
Tim Vine
And whilst not a comic as such Humphrey Lyttleton, and his chairing of I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, and the Teams in that
@Telegraph
@DavidGHFrost
It's ridiculous that David Frost, who has never been elected to the UK parliament, was brexit minister when we don't want to have unelected bureaucrats running out country!
@Mike_Fabricant
@manwith4kids
Sorry? I want you to imagine a court of law where the judge and jury were only allowed to be made up of the supporters of you and your organisation or those against? Yes it’s a ridiculous system, but it’s one you as Parliament agreed to, and now you compare it to a court?
@911Amelia
@ConsPost
Yes……security is not needed for an online course! Why are there more security requirements for this than any other appointment? And she wanted to reclaim the expense of the fine from tax payers! Yes, beyond pathetic.

yesterday on bbc…..
I once infiltrated a group of farmers that looked after sheep, to find out their secrets.
I was a shepherd spy……
@amandajplatell
@mailplus
Could you explain how the Conservative Party believe a 15 year old has a maturity to decide to join the Party and vote for the leader, therefore often the PM…but not the maturity for another 3 years to vote for their MP
Genuine question, I don’t understand and I don’t like that
@runner_scarlet
Thank you Neil, good fun and let’s do it again soon……
If I was suggesting music, it would be Mendelssohn’s Fingal Cave, Rachmaninov’s 2nd piano concerto and Elgar’s cello concerto…..
For a song that everyone would be better off listening, though….
@4bruce7
I remember gathering around a small wooden box and staring at a greying face for an evening’s entertainment…..
Then we got a tv, and put the lid on grannies coffin…..
@sophielouisecc
So there’s an unsolved conundrum. You claim to be a broadcaster and journalist yet point to the fact you don’t care what the media say, and presumably encouraging us to think likewise……🤔
@BritishAlba
@tomhunt1988
There was me thinking you liked the traditions and heritage of this country, but give me examples of where the Bishops did that. Usually there’s only one bishop in the House of Lords at any one time…..
