Yesterday the BBC asked me to appear on Newsnight about CV 19. I agreed a time and the link. Later they wanted to know in more detail what I would say. Then they failed to send the link as the way of cancelling. Clearly I had the wrong views for their story line. Yet again.

This morning solar and wind has slumped to just 4% of our electricity with gas,coal and wood at 73%. Those who say rely on wind turbines need to explain what we do when the wind does not blow instead of telling us to close all the generators that keep the lights on.

Margaret Thatcher cut Income tax from 33% to 25%, top rate tax from 98% to 40% and Corporation tax from 52% to 34%. Rishi Sunak raised Corproation Tax from 19% to 25%, increased the National Insurance rate and imposed new taxes. Rishi Sunak is no Margaret Thatcher

The BBC wants to interview me about parties but has no wish to hear views on taxes, the energy shortage, the income squeeze, the wrong OBR forecasts of the debts and the policies to import more and produce less. The public is less interested in past parties than they think.

Disappointing to hear from the talks the EU still wants the U.K. to be a colony. Good news that the U.K. is not making any concessions. We have to repeat we intend to leave the single market and customs union to be independent, in control of our own laws, money and fish.

The EU’s threats to trade in vaccines is a warning to us. We need to increase our own ability to make and grow things at home, not rely on too many EU imports. A new fishing, farming, energy and manufacturing policy is needed.

The BBC Today programme was pressing to give away our fish to the EU, telling us it unrealistic to take back control.Why are they always on the EU's side? Catching our own fish and selling it at home or to the wider world is one of the big wins from Brexit which we must deliver.

Yesterday BBC R4 invited me onto their PM programme. They then asked me my views on the economy and Bank of England. They thought about it and cancelled the invite. GB News and LBC ran interviews. Once again I did not fit into the BBC's narrow and repetitious story line.

Protesters trying to stop production of more U.K. gas and oil are helping Russia and the Middle East who will supply it instead. Why do we want them to have the tax revenues and jobs and not us here at home? Such protests do not save the planet but they worsen the energy crisis.

The EU single market made us pay huge sums into the EU so they could replace our home production with their exports. We lost out in steel, cars, food, fish, chemicals, energy and many other key areas as they used rules and unfair competition against us.

The UK has now agreed Free Trade deals with 58 countries before leaving the EU Customs Union. No apologies yet from those who said we would lose all EU trade deals on leaving. I look forward to us agreeing to join the large Pacific partnership which the EU has not joined.

Why did BBC Today say the problem of energy prices is international energy prices which we cannot do anything about? US gas prices are way cheaper than ours because they allow business to find and produce more gas. We in the U.K. should produce more of our own energy.

Independent regulators have left us short of water, gas and electricity.They turn to water rationing instead of new reservoirs. They make us import more gas instead of licensing more home production. They do not provide enough electricity back up for when the wind does not blow.

Why did the Post Office hound so many post managers on false charges? I and some other MPs told them it was ridiculous to think hundreds of good honest staff all decided to become fraudsters at the same time just as they introduced a new computer system.

EU industrial trawlers have been hoovering up fish in UK waters in the last days under EU control. Glad we will patrol our waters as we have been doing, but this time to enforce our rules. We can have a fishing policy kinder to our industry and marine environment.
