Absolutely dangerous and insane if this truly happens. Come on,
@POTUS
.
Ukrainian kids are dying in their homes, others are shivering in bomb shelters & metro stops, while Ukrainian leadership and advocates beg for more weapons and ATACMS to defend their communities from attack.
I’m sitting in a bomb shelter in Ukraine thinking about how Russia is constantly firing at little kids in their beds here, with the help of North Korea and Iran loading their arsenal.
🚨 It’s 4:40 am in Ukraine. Air raid alert in almost every region of the country. After a massive missile attack on Kyiv yesterday night, another Russian attack is underway.
Painful read, but it's important to share and show the range and horror of Russian crimes against civilians.
Look what happens when Ukrainians fall under 🇷🇺 control. The elderly, vulnerable, and disabled are preyed upon + abused. Another reason why Ukraine can't stop fighting.
🇺🇦 Elderly and vulnerable Ukrainians were taken into Russian territory, stripped of their citizenship, forced to give blood and left in agony from botched medical procedures, a Telegraph investigation has found.
***this is a bad sign for America, our government, our leadership, NATO, and humanity. Not just “supporters of aid to Kyiv”.
It’s a good sign for Russia, Iran, and other bad actors watching American actions.

On the eve of Kyiv Day, Russia sent one of the largest air attacks since the beginning of the full scale war.
Yet today the city was vibrant and crowded. Patriotism is everywhere.
Here’s a beautiful moment of music & community next to honoring those lost and fighting.
A key point: the West "must avoid the urge to encourage Kyiv to negotiate a ceasefire that falls short of Ukraine’s goals and could consign millions of Ukrainians to Russian control". We know the war crimes already committed under their control. See below for more recommendations
Top US generals, former officials, and leading experts agree:
The US should stay the course on Ukraine.

Strong new op-ed: US support for Ukraine: The difference between victory and defeat
The authors, including
@JohnEdHerbst

Good on
@ZelenskyyUa
forcefully reminding people speaking about giving up "territory" this means people, leaving civilians, incl. kids, to be tortured, raped, deported, murdered, and more.
Territory = innocent lives.
Also, the people don't want to stay under Russian occupation.
😡😤🤬🤬🤬🤬
It’s a beautiful sunny day in Kyiv. I was outside right before the attacks. The city is filled with people. Commuting, biking, drinking coffee. Kids. Innocent civilians.
This cannot be normalized.
Everyone’s being attacked by a member of the UN Security Council
As Putin accuses Ukraine of committing genocide

Evacuation from Vovchansk becomes extremely dangerous. Today, Russia bombed evacuation point. With each passing day, more people are desperate to escape. This 92-year-old woman, who lived through WWII occupation, says this is far worse than anything she’s ever experienced.

It makes me sick to know American inaction on aid to Ukraine is dangerously limiting the amount of air defense Ukraine has to defend themselves against Russian attacks against civilians.
Kyiv. Monday morning. Children in a kindergarten run to the bomb shelter during the explosions. This is hard to look at. But I want the whole world to hear and see our reality. Ukraine needs more air defense systems and immediate help from our partners to counter this terror.
Some experts in the West: Putin can be negotiated with, he's possibly signaling he wants peace!
Putin: I must keep the land I conquered by military invasion and then my forces raped, tortured, murdered, and kidnapped people from.
Listen to him. Arm Ukraine.
Если кто-то сомневался, то вот Путин уже прямым текстом (прямее некуда) говорит о реальных целях своего вторжения в Украину — завоевании земель (а никаком не «освобождении»)
People who ignore facts & soak up Russian propaganda will still scream about Ukraine being a land of Nazis.

Photo taken at 10 pm, May 27 in Kyiv. Kids were playing on scooters all around, people were dancing to live music on the street. But that all ends by curfew, and then a few hours later Russia attacks the city (and broader country) with swarms of drones. Evil.
Not only is Ukraine not a nation of nazis, it is a country embracing its Jewish population and leadership. Anyone hollering about Russians fighting Ukrainian nazis is already ignoring the truth, but here’s another strong point against that BS.

If you aren’t Ukrainian, imagine your family, especially children, in their home, with a rocket like this headed toward them in an act of savagery amounting to a war crime. Think about it. Would you ever stop fighting to protect them and other innocents? Nope. Ukraine will win.
That is the rocket used against an ordinary apartment block in Dnipro today. Warhead mass 1 tonne (1000 kg, 2250 lbs) of highly efficient explosive RDX (hexogen). Originally designed in 1960s to attack air carriers. But Russians decided to use against civilans. See below:

Russia arbitrarily detains Ukrainian civilians, leaves them in inhumane conditions + tortures them, and then tries to brainwash and pressure weakened and often sick people into joining the Russian forces to attack other innocent Ukrainians.

I legitimately don't understand pieces like this and how they can be connected to any version of peace.
To say Ukrainians should negotiate and settle now and have a compromise/agreement w/ Russia, while acknowledging it won't hold + conflict will reemerge... How is that peace?
I was recently in Kyiv during back-to-back air raids & attacks. People told me as their kids sleep in bed (or get dragged to the hall or shelter), they don't know if there is enough air defense to protect against Russian attacks.
And that's just in Kyiv. Send more Patriots ASAP!
Just last week someone asked me if it is true Russia kidnaps Ukrainian kids.
It is. It’s well documented and part of their war effort and efforts to erase Ukraine.
russia has a special methodology for kidnapping children from Ukraine. According to Falcon Flight organization, children are told that their parents have abandoned them, russians split them up with friends every two months and say that they will never return home.

Very sad outcome with 84 politicians choosing a Russian path against the very widely demonstrated will of their people.
This is undemocratic and shameful.
Biden rightly said Putin's invasion of Ukraine was a test for us all. We can never forget that. It remains a test, not just for Ukraine and their resolve, but for Western unity and investment in security in the long term. And in the US, that support must be bipartisan.
This was 9:30 pm on Kyiv Day. Dad and daughter looking at the flags representing lost lives. She went home and got in bed and then Russia sent drones at 1 am to try and kill her in her sleep.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan (

Huge news for the Georgian people! 🎉
I have so much respect for the civil society, policy experts, and *some* individuals in govt who work tirelessly on reform and moving toward the EU.
There is much more work to do to meet these conditions, but Georgia’s future is in the EU.
The Georgian people have shown their unshaken commitment to European values many times.
The European Commission today recommend to grant Georgia the EU candidate status.
The EU's door is open. We will continue supporting
#Georgia

First Georgia, then Ukraine.
As the world sees Russian aggression more clearly now, please don’t forget Georgians living under occupation.
It’s obvious - Kremlin aggression must be defeated in Ukraine now or Russia will continue their imperialistic actions and brutal tactics.
🇬🇪 Today marks 15 years since Russia's illegal invasion of Georgia. Kremlin aggression continues and Russia occupies 20% of Georgia to this day.
@ACEurasia

As the Georgian people protest and show their government they don’t want to be more like Russia with the foreign agents law and democratic backsliding, the government responds… acting like Russia.
A reminder that the horrifying scenes from Kyiv are images that could be from many cities and towns around Ukraine, all filled with innocent civilians and stained with their blood spilled by Russians.

Another overdue but much welcomed piece of news that will help Ukraine fight the Russians and make their illegal invasion more painful for Putin.
Ukraine will use these very well.
🚨🇺🇲🇺🇦 BREAKING: CNN reports the Biden Admin has informed Congress that they will provide "long-range" ATACMS to Ukraine. This would likely include the M39A1, M48, & M57. Doubtful that the newest M57E1s would be sent.
We are peacefully standing in front of Parliament of Georgia, showing our protest against Georgia’s ruling party, who passed a copy-pasta Russian “foreign agents law” aimed at silencing media, NGOs and each critical voice.
They are using water cannon and papper spray against us.
This is the funeral of Hlib Fedyuk, who was killed by a Russian missile in Kherson on New Year’s Eve. He was 11 years old and loved playing piano.
This is why Russia is a terrorist state.
One of the most dangerous ways the US can project weakness is to fall down on our support for Ukraine's defense against Russia.
Putin and Russian TV are literally mocking us and saying America is weak. Iran and China are watching this.

As

F-16s getting to Ukraine sooner can save countless lives.
