Again, you can dislike NATO all you want, but if America wasn't a military power (for all of its many faults we can get into), Russia would be bitch-slapping us. We can hug trees and be anti-war in Williamsburg, in part, because we have a powerful military. That is a fact.

I don't people outside of Ukraine realize how much distain most Ukrainians have towards the "average Russian" and that their anger isn't just towards Putin. Whether on the streets of Ukraine or just with all of my close friends, their outrage won't end when Putin falls.

Gonna write about this soon, but asking Ukrainians to cede land to Russia is akin to asking them to be slaves and accept abuse as a normal part of life. That Western experts are suggesting this reminds me that they are as colonial in their thinking as the Kremlin.
