In other words, anyone who thinks Trump is just blustering when he pledges to round up millions of people, put them in camps & then deport them is deluding themselves. If he wins, you can bank that deportation at a scale unmatched in US history is coming.

Big picture: The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff thought Trump was so insane post January 6th that he called senior officers into a room and told them to affirm that he personally must sign off if Trump wanted to launch nukes. Trump has called for him to be executed.

Schumer on Trump’s “poisoning the blood” comments: “What Donald Trump said and did was despicable, but we do have a problem at the border and Democrats know we have to solve that problem, but in keeping with our principles.”

There is a blindness with Dems and some of the top people in our camp and just how awful they are. It’s totally normalized to be successful on the Hill and then go over to the tech companies and help them lobby the political system so they can keep plundering our society.

Biden’s policy on Gaza is indefensible. If he wants to fully embrace the fascists running the Israeli government then that’s a shocking tragedy but that’s his dumb choice. If he wants to not do than awesome. His posture right now is paralysis. Literally no one likes it.

Never worked for Durbin but I get the gist of how Senate Dems think about this stuff, its ridiculous. They somehow consider it beneath them to use the powers of the Senate to influence media. And yet Durbin gives a speech on the Senate floor to an empty chamber almost daily.

If Trump wins, it won't be a slow burn. The pieces to completely destroy what people think of as the United States are sitting around, waiting to be assembled. And this time, Trump and his team know exactly how to put the puzzle together.

As far as I can see, John Fetterman’s office policy is if anyone other than John Fetterman says something bad about Biden, they are traitors who are helping Trump and should put on MAGA hats. But if John Fetterman criticizes Biden, then of course that’s totally fine.

My personal thoughts on this are its 2024: this is it. There isn't going to be a next time depending on how this goes. So despite the pressures of office, I think more Senators need to accept that their leaders are failing to do anything about gigantic, time pressing problems.

This just came to me the other day but instead of all this weird maneuvering, maybe Sotomayor and others can just stand up for the rule of law and acknowledge the court is totally rigged to remake society into a theocratic conservative fever dream? Because that would be huge.

Been super negative towards the Dems today but folks, this is so comically not complicated. Talk about how the Trump just got convicted by a jury of his peers, how the rule of law must be upheld and take concrete steps to show you care. And don’t pivot to talking about…Gaza??

Besides, at a certain point, the law stops mattering. Stuffing people into unmarked vans goes way past this. Trump proudly let it happen. Multiple judges ruled Trump's DHS head was illegally in the big chair. Didn't matter. Notice the bottom of his wiki portrait:

This is the single biggest indicator that Biden’s theory he is the reason Dems didn’t get killed in the midterms is total bs. And while I have no idea who will win, I feel confident saying Biden is uniquely putting Dems in a far more dangerous position than needed.

Polls show Biden is behind. Biden's team doesn't believe the polling and faults contemporary survey methodology. But those same polls also show other Democrats are running ahead of their opponents *and* Biden. Meaning: Biden is the issue. He must change course or he will lose.

The Hill cycle of abuse I called it. The culture filters down to staffers too. And sure, you can get around this, especially if you coordinate. But leadership has a huge amount of resources at their disposal to quell a rebellion. So the asymmetry in any fight is large.
