One quick edit from tonight before going to bed. I'm speechless. I finally captured a shot I've been wanting for 8 years after seeing the northern lights for the very first time in Iceland. And tonight I finally got to see them all the way down in Tucson, Arizona...FOR 8 HOURS...
Never thought I'd get this shot and it's probably because I had to get it remotely! Check out this Owl who decided to make an appearance during my timelapse I shot last night out in the desert. The camera was set up running a 4 hour sequence while I was shooting a mile away. Woo!
Finally,
#monsoon2018
has arrived! Today was my first chase day and my first lightning photo of the season. Pretty excited how this one turned out! Taken just north of Marana as dust started to develop. Now time to wash the dirt out of my eyes, ears, and hair haha.

Mammoth, AZ was absolutely beautiful today! I've never been out there before and glad today's chase brought me. Here are a few of my favorite captures.

Finally got around to shooting the fire on the Catalina Mountains in

this evening. It was hard to find a good vantage point that was open and get a shot without car lights. I kind of liked how this turned out, though.

A new image taken out in the desert last week. I've lived in the desert most my life and I don't think I've ever seen saguaros sprouting out of a sand dune. It was fun to see but challenging to photograph, especially at night. I hope you enjoy!
