Polmadie Fire Station laid a wreath today in memory of Station Officer William Clark who died whilst trying to rescue 4 children at Cumberland Place in 1967.
Cowcaddens White Watch were yesterday joined by the family of Sub Officer Adrian McGill on Maryhill Road as we paid tribute to his sacrifice at a fire on 18th November 1972. He died after giving his own oxygen set to a resident who was trapped and awaiting rescue.

Today marks the 63rd Anniversary of the Cheapside Street Disaster where 19 firefighters lost their lives while tackling a fire at a whisky bond in Glasgow.
A commemorative ceremony will take place at Glasgow’s Necropolis today at 11am. Wreaths will be laid in honour of them. 💐
