Team Blackley enjoyed catching up with Rose's dances after half term. They loved both so much they wanted to have a go. They were amazed Rose got 40 and wanted to make her a video using BSL to say well done! Enjoy! Good luck Rose!

All the children from Year 1 to 6 wrote a kind word on a whiteboard. We talked about the power of one kind word, but how when many were put together, the message is stronger. Thank you so much to our drone pilot for making our vison a reality.~

In Space Team we have been learning British Sign Language. We decided to make a video to teach the whole school how to sign. We thought you would like to see it too and we hope you learn lots of new signs.

A gorgeous display of poppies to commemorate Remembrance Day. Each child took the time to paint one. It is even more improtant in a school with a large group of service children that this day is not forgotten.

Twas the last day at Hawkhirst and all through the camp, no children were stirring - not even the mouse. Snoring from bedrooms and tired children everywhere, soon to be returned to their parents loving care.

The children wanted to know if there were any shops they could buy cochlear implants from for their dolls. They were shocked to discover that they couldn’t. They decided to make their own cochlear implants for their dolls in school and at home.

We are so proud of Bobbie, who has won this year's Child of the Year Award at the York Community Pride event. Bobbie has helped to fundraise an enormous amount of money with her friends and family for Cancer Research UK. Well done Bobbie, your grandma would be VERY proud of you.
In EYFS we have been learning all about The Rainbow Fish. We painted our hands and turned them into fish and we even got to decorate cakes. We can’t wait to eat them as they smell really tasty.
Here are some photos of our year 6 children enjoying their PE this week! The children are learning to balance in small groups in lots of different ways. Hopefully we will be able to put together some fantastic routines shortly!
