This is my brother Nick. It would have been his 50th birthday today. He died a week after his 16th birthday. He was a life force, loved by many and we miss him every day. I’m proud he was my brother which is why I’m sharing this. Love you Nicky.

Unexpected distraction from lockdown this weekend when the 3rd child’s tummy ache turned out to be appendicitis. Quickly couple of snips and all good now thanks to the brilliant staff at Macclesfield hospital. Child then punished my crap diagnostic skills by crushing me at crib.

I am the only person I know in the BBC who’s had a parent who worked there. My dad definitely did give me a love for radio. He left before I got my first job at @BBCSuffolk - but I’m not embarrassed about the fact he worked here. I’m very proud to have followed him.

My friend Nicola lost her beautiful son Lucas in an accident last month. He was 12 years old and her only child. Somehow she found the strength to say these words at his funeral and brought us joy in the darkest of moments. With her permission I’m sharing them here #ShareAndCare
