“Your feelings are valid”
“You’re not alone”
“You can get through this”
“You matter”
“I care for you”
Saying these words to someone struggling can really help. Most of the time you don't need to have all the answers. Simply being there can be enough.
“Queer people exist. Choosing not to accept them is not an option. To anyone watching this who isn’t out, it’s okay. You’re okay. You were born this way, it’s right and anyone who has a problem with it is wrong.” –

If you’re receiving your GCSE results today, you should be so proud of yourself for getting through this school year. You kept going through a global pandemic and you should celebrate that, whatever your grades.

Men, it’s okay to:
1/ Talk about your emotions
2/ Accept that you’re struggling
3/ Ask for help when you need it
4/ Call in sick if you’re not feeling good
5/ Cry
6/ Protect your boundaries
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

You can be driven, motivated, passionate and have depression. You can be bubbly, vibrant and extroverted and have anxiety. The more we understand that mental health is separate from character, the less stigma there will be.

Happy birthday Duke of Cambridge 🎉 Thank you for all that you do for young people’s mental health. We’re proud to be a part of your

Mental health must be at the front of the political agenda this year. Every young person must be able to get the support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
This week Chris Kaba, a 24-year-old Black man was shot and killed by police in London. He is the second Black man known to have died following contact with Met Police in the past three months and joins a shamefully long list of Black men who have died after use of fatal force.
Good luck to everyone getting their results today. No matter what your results are, be proud of yourself. Remember, you are not defined by numbers on a piece of paper. Even if it might not feel like it right now, there's so much hope in your future.

It is clear mental health is not a priority for this Government. No mention of the Mental Health Act being reformed. No new investment for overstretched and under-resourced services. No interest in supporting young people.
