“The individual willingness to swallow the lie…enables the totalitarian mob. If you allow yourself to assent to something you know to be false, no matter how small, not only do you put your own soul in mortal peril, but you also destabilize the entire polity.” Jordan B. Peterson
Can someone explain to me why, growing up in the 60s and 70s, I never knew a single kid with peanut allergies, lactose intolerance, or gluten intolerance?
Church attendance has dropped 45% since the start of the pandemic. Churches locking people out, especially when they didn’t have to, was an unmitigated disaster. Even where the law required them to close, they shouldn’t have. This was the hill to die on.
Masks have never worked to stop or even slow the spread of Covid anywhere in the world. Indeed, they have been a spectacular failure. That we’re even thinking about going back to them is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard.
It should now be abundantly clear that the best response to Covid, from the very beginning, would have been to do nothing. Treat it like the flu. Take normal precautions and go about our lives. Fewer people would have died, overall, and society would not be in the mess it’s in.
If the government can shut down churches—either actively or by “encouraging” cooperation—in direct contravention of the First Amendment (to which there is no pandemic exception), there is literally nothing they can’t do. We become dependent on our leaders’ benevolence.
If
@RonDeSantisFL
had not been elected governor of Florida in 2019, the entire country would be 10 times more screwed than it is now. I don’t think
@BrianKempGA
@GregAbbott_TX
& other GOP govs would have had the guts to resist Covid fascism if DeSantis had not led out.
@jscdad
Maybe. I don’t remember any kids that got sick or died for no apparent reason or who had mystery illnesses. Mostly, we were all pretty healthy. I think those things just weren’t nearly as common back then.
@kerpen
@jhaskinscabrera
Right. When Covid numbers rise in Red states, it’s because the stupid rednecks are misbehaving. When they rise in Blue states, it must be seasonality.
At this point, the Mask Narrative is basically a zombie. It’s dead—the Cochrane study drove the last stake through its ugly heart—it just doesn’t know it. So it keeps shuffling along, mindlessly, like the undead monster it is. Also, it apparently eats people’s brains.
@JordanSchachtel
And it’s completely artificial because there is virtually no market demand. It’s just Big Government colluding with Big Pharma to fleece the taxpayers.
@HeidiHarrisShow
There was one “husky” kid in the neighborhood, and he always played catcher. (Anybody else remember Sears Toughskin jeans in husky sizes?)
@MDPatriotGal1
I knew one severely autistic kid. But no one else “on the spectrum.” As far as we knew, there was no spectrum. I also knew very few kids with asthma (although one of mine had it when young, in the 90s, then outgrew it).
@BleepBlorpBlop
I keep getting this response, but I don’t think so. I also knew very few families—none that I can remember—who had children who died young (that would have been a noteworthy tragedy in my community) and none that died of some unknown or mysterious illness. It just wasn’t a thing.
Logically speaking, if masks worked, you would expect two outcomes: 1) lower infection rates in areas with mask mandates; and 2) decreased rates after mandates implemented. Neither has happened—anywhere—as
@ianmSC
(among others) has shown exhaustively and conclusively.
Here’s an idea: Let’s never again send our athletes to a country where they have to worry about being punished for pissing off the local government. They’re Americans. They can say what they want.
Apparently, NBC News was today years old before they finally figured out what many of us have known for almost three years. Yet people lost their livelihoods and a lot more because our government and public health establishment LIED about natural immunity.
College professors are, by and large, the only class of highly educated professionals who are completely incapable of functioning in the real world. I do not exclude myself from that description.
It should be abundantly clear by now that Sweden’s strategy of maintaining as much freedom as possible while counting on herd immunity to eventually mitigate the pandemic, thoroughly mocked at the beginning, has succeeded spectacularly. Authoritarian interventions failed.

@StateDept
You may think you can hand our national sovereignty over to a bunch of Marxists in the WHO, but you are mistaken because you are not the government—in the United States of America, We the People are the government. And we will not comply with your unconstitutional “accord.”
Religious liberty is not something for which we must petition the government. It is our birthright as Americans. Our ancestors bled & died for our right to worship as we please. The government may have power to punish us for exercising that right but it has no authority to do so.
When the Left complains that something is being “politicized,” what they always mean, 100% of the time, is that conservatives and moderates are actually pushing back against the Left’s politicization of that thing.
@pmurt0202
@jhaskinscabrera
Perhaps. I’ve been fighting that battle, too. But church closures came before mask mandates (or even recommendations). Is it possible that giving up that once-sacred ground without even a protest enabled the entire regime of lockdowns, masks, and forced jabs?
@PurpleKoolaid92
Yes, many were simply abandoned, left to their own devices. My church at least has an organized system of lay ministers, so we could check in on each other, but that only goes so far. As Paul noted in his letter to the Hebrews, there’s no substitute for gathering in person.

Make no mistake: The only reason we’re not dealing with Australia-level totalitarianism right now is not because of our leaders’ benevolence. It’s because so many of us are heavily armed—which was precisely the point of the 2A. Thank you, Framers.
Of course they’re sad, depressed, and angry. We took some of the best years of their lives from them—years they will never get back—for absolutely no good reason. To make some adults feel safer, which of course turned out to be a fantasy.
"The CDC found 45 pct of high school students were so persistently sad or hopeless in 2021 they were unable to engage in regular activities. Almost 1 in 5 seriously considered suicide and 9 pct surveyed tried to take their lives during previous 12 months."
The same people who accuse conservatives of figuratively wearing tinfoil hats literally wear porous cloth over their face, with large gaps around the nose and cheeks, in an effort to stop a sub-micron, aerosolized virus that for most people causes a bad cold.
Left: We’re not doing (that thing), you crazy conspiracy theorists!
Left (six months later): Yes, we are doing (that thing), and it’s good.
Left (three months later): You will celebrate the fact that we are doing (that thing) or we will destroy your life.
Why are so many professors leftists? Because a) they think they’re smarter than everyone else, and b) they think they’re underpaid, which is profoundly unfair considering they’re so much smarter than everyone else, and this is clearly an indictment of capitalism.
Why is it that the very people who scream the loudest about “democracy” are the same ones who want to turn our sovereignty over to an unelected, non-democratic body like the WHO?
IMPORTANT NEWSFLASH
Please retweet - or perhaps alternatively, you can get ready for the West to become China.
What will your kids think of you....for letting that happen? 🤨

Two-step plan to end the pandemic:
1) Add Covid to the long list of things that might kill you, somewhere between car accident and lightning strike.
2) Go about your life normally.
"Herd immunity may not even be possible to reach with this virus".
'By the time you get enough people vaccinated, you get a new variant that arises that escapes previous immunity', says clinical epidemiologist Dr Deepti Gurdasani.

Gwinnett County, GA: Saw several people maskless in Kroger today, besides me. Yesterday my wife and I went up to the mountains, visiting several small towns. Hardly saw anyone wearing a mask. Hopeful signs, all.
@ACLUVA
This is awesome because masks have been so effective at preventing Covid that nearly every single person in the country has had Covid, most of them multiple times, whether they wore a mask or didn’t wear a mask or wore two masks or wore an N95 or wore a mask while driving alone.
The United States is not a democracy. It’s a constitutional republic. “Democracy,” these days, is used almost exclusively by the Left as code for socialism. When leftists say X is “a threat to democracy,” they mean it’s a threat to their plan to foist socialism on the country.
Medical science can now determine the sex of a fetus in utero through a simple blood test. That’s how fundamental sex is to human beings: It’s apparent even before birth. And of course there are only two possibilities: male or female.

I had hoped that the vaccines would make COVID irrelevant, but it is clear that every anecdotal young death and any rise in cases will be used to reimpose mandates.
It's time for every one of you to get involved at the local and state levels. Make your voice heard.
No. Masks do nothing to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, and they cause non-trivial harm to many wearers and to society at large. So no,
@CDCgov
, we won’t wear them. But we will push for disbanding your organization, which has become a major source of misinformation.
Masks are useless against sub-micron viruses. “Then why do doctors wear them?” Because of other contaminants. A chain link fence will keep the neighbor’s dog out of your yard, but it won’t stop mosquitoes. This has been known for years. Why is it so hard for people to understand?
@larrysing
But it wouldn’t have been news locally? Not even word of mouth in a smallish, tight-knit community? Because I don’t recall ever hearing of such a thing.

Yet those of us who dared suggest anything like this three years ago were angrily shouted down, called lunatics and murderers, and cast out of the public square. Being vindicated is no consolation, given the utter destruction wreaked by those who should have known better.
The “transgender” agenda has 3 main goals, advanced by 3 (mostly) different groups:
1) To promote eugenics by sterilizing the mentally ill and autistic;
2) To lower the age of consent (if kids can “consent” to being mutilated & sterilized, they can consent to sex);
@ScottAdamsSays
@motherfood
Why were we suspicious of a “vaccine” that was developed in months rather than years? Because we were thinking rationally. We weren’t paralyzed by fear. When the government started censoring any data that contradicted the narrative, that was all the confirmation we needed.
Some public health experts have recently said most Americans can ignore Covid, yet see my thoughts in
@GlobeOpinion
. Because in my humble opinion, Ignoring COVID-19 is still not an option for most Americans👇🏽
It’s impossible to “be one” with people who think men can be women. They’re not even operating in the same moral universe. Nor am I the one who abandoned a scripturally sound, reality-based position. “Unity” does not require me to embrace their absurd, narcissistic belief system.
20 years in, I’m a little frustrated with the “never forget” rhetoric. As a nation, we HAVE forgotten. Not only have we capitulated to and armed the enemy, but our “leaders” have wreaked far greater destruction on our Republic than anything the terrorists could have imagined.
