I was purposefully not invited to auditions for the anime Holy Knight because I politely told one of the VAs running the studio in NJ to "be humble and not to worry" when she had a childish tirade over how fans at cons in her booth asked more how to get into VA industry versus

@Niffian
My point is minors have been making shit without AI since the internet began. And I really donโt think anyone Iโve seen use it knows what โblacklistingโ means. if some VA and her friends chose not to work with them that isnโt blacklisting, they donโt have actual power to do that.
Western anime voice actors used to be a ton better at hiding that they are just drama school thespians pretending to like anime in order to get clout & directing careers in Hollywood/Broadway
Meli, seems you stopped being a mutual with me as your following grew but I hope you are doing well nonetheless. Been some time since we had those awesome cupcakes in Penn Station :).
Do know why fans are upset. It's one thing to change the scripts a bit to match flaps but the
For whomsoever needs to hear it. I am not a translator. I'm an ADR Scriptwriter. It is my actual job to finesse dialogue so that it sounds great using translations provided to me by my clients as a foundation. If you don't understand the work I do, maybe don't come at me over it.
@ShitpostGate
People who crave the corporate ladder should touch grass and get that shoe polish out of their mouth. See it as a means to an end if/when it's necessary but only Boomers and older crave the false accolades of climbing the rungs of ladders somebody else owns.
People act really annoying whenever subs localize something, Japanese and English are completely different languages and you can never get a 1:1 translation, localization that gets the message across is so much better than clunky sentences that doesn't read well
Ok, so the mystery of Amazon banning random anime figures since about 2017/2018 might be solved...
The short of it, scalper groups spamming the report button in order to over price the collectibles as they get more rare. It's why only the US side of Amazon get effected.

@Extravaganzazz
Holy crap...that makes total sense! Since I was an official retailer of Nendoroid, Figma, Proplica, Kotobukia and others, I'd get them at wholesale in bulk. Selling them at SRP was what worked for me as it was a fair price and I still made a profit. I remember when on Amazon
This guy walks up to you in the store, says that you being out with your Japanese wife & daughter is 'problematic' & that he's an 'expert on Japan'
....what you gunna do?

September/October tends to be when leases on commercial real-estate are up; namely in NYC.
That's the reality behind Bloomberg's post here. Landlords are crying
As a developer who lost weekends, sleep and much of the first year of my oldest daughter's life making one-off experiences for Consumer Goods like this in both Unity in Unreal Engine, here's my take on this:
1) Nothing is wrong with sexy, if anything, it can and has been
I'm a voice actor & yeah, sorry, this is becoming too common so even I will say
Sub>>>Dub
& to buy JP/learn the language at this point
I understand that 1 to 1 translation isn't always correct(match flaps, etc)
But this has been a case of IP sabotage/theft all for resume padding
@kiikazuu
When the normcels tell us anime fans to "touch grass". I go..
"Sure...I own .88 acres of it."๐
Don't let those losers get to you.
Awesome collection btw

**Spoilers for anyone who didn't see Death Note****
Light also let his ego get so bloated that he got caught; could have easily stayed in the shadows. Not only was he tracked down pretty quickly, he had a few chances to still get out and yet, his urge to be 'Kira' blew it.
For even more context, I have an Android phone, a Note 9 to be exact and Google Play was basically the default way to play music on the device; bascially Android's iTunes. I can tell you that even before this I've had mp3s I've downloaded & put in playlists disappear at random.
Continue to support indie creators, indie voice actors, new and up coming voice actors and not the "industry" that does what they can to shun new talent out unless the jump through useless hoops and stay on a leash after they made it.
@who503ver
@tony873004
It's cool when you think of all the reference points we know of so far...
First, you are sitting on the Earth, in front of your phone/computer while the planet spins roughly 1000 kilometers an hour on it's tilted axis, creating our days/nights.
Next, the planet itself is
I'm an anime retailer who's sold figures & anime DVDS/BDs...so yeah buy anime legally if you can. However, don't deny that the anime grey / black market helped the medium be as popular as it is today (looking at you English VAs). Don't crap on the roots of your careers (thread)
This isn't Google's first time forcing people's hands into or with YouTube's black hole of even less content freedom. (See the old Google+ account thing)
I'm all for supporting the original content creators so do so & with as few middle men as possible.
Is anyone not seeing Amazon nuking practically every Nendoroid, figma, & Max Factor figure out of now where?
I have like 4 emails with lists of figures I used to stock now banned from the site & permanently delisted!
I got to make a more detailed post on this, this is concerning
Just got an email from Amazon about an old figma figure that just got banned...it's from Lucky Star
Kagami Hiiragi Figma Action Figure Summer Uniform Ver. To be exact
Does Amazon or who ever is doing these anime figure flagging have anything better to do in their day?
@MagicArtist1
@UltimaShadowX
Take it from a dev. This is rushed/sloppy work. Optimization is a step many are forgetting or simply don't have the skill for now.
@TheUnaButters
From a developer/tinkerer point of view, this stuff is neat. I'm all for it's improvement and well done use cases but my goodness in the past few years has the talk around new/experimental tech been hijacked by two different camps...both who generally can't code if their life
@Daper_Bear
We in the nerd/Otaku community were constantly made fun of. It wasn't until our hobbies/shows/likes became more mainstream did those who used to ridicule us come to it, only to see that they were not represented. Of course not, those who ridiculed us never joined. One thing I
How scummy of a 'professional' voice actor do you have to be to ask people to blacklist a young independent animation student?
I guess Azula was not really a stretch
@ShitpostGate
I think some might confuse what I said for "just do nothing and don't work hard"
Oh no, you work harder so you don't be a stooge to some job or boss. Use the corporate ladder as a means to an end, but don't live and die for it as you don't own that ladder.
@ComicLoverMari
Take care of yourself Mari. I'm glad you became a mutual with me recently; you are not any of those negative things. Stay clear of the negative people here and be well.
Unity & Unreal Engine*
Oh & 3rd... Tifa is my wife's role model; strong, beautiful and been through hell and back.
Let people escape and strive for better using video games. Don't hate yourself either, vanity and life is too short for that.
Here's the latest figure banned by .
@amazon
US for no reason other than people spamming the flag functionality or someone at Amazon deserving a swift firing (out of a cannon)
The Kotobukiya Bishoujo Psylock figure.
This line includes a bunch of really good figures, this is crazy
@Mangalawyer
@raamaanandh
Funny how they all say this but many of them are themselves a bunch of rich white trust fund babies who can't code or create and are envious of those who do. They used their marketing firm nepotism to weasle into the space last decade as it gained popularity over industries their

I'm betting Generation Alpha will be true to their name, shaming the oversensitivity of the generations before it and bringing back some of that edge, "who cares" kind of rebellion we saw in the 90s against religious boomers. The pendulum will swing
