I’m delighted that the River Tone in French Weir Park has formally been designated as a Bathing Water site. It will be subject to the requirements under the Bathing Water Regulations 2013 & will be incl in the @EnvAgency bathing water monitoring prog from May 2024. #taunton

Hedgerows are v. sig. in #TauntonDeane & these protections have the support of farmers - I recently laid the stat. instrument for legal protections of important hedgerows - many can go further in signing up for our new env. payments to take actions to benefit wildlife & soil
