Snow leopard Maya says: 🐾 🐾 🐾! Her keepers say this is her playful way to say hello. 😊 Snow leopards have extra-large front paws that are about two to three times wider than an average hand. These giant paws help keep them from sinking into the snow!

Although gorillas occasionally walk on two legs (bipedal), it is less common. Not for Louis though - he can often be seen walking bipedal when his hands are full of snack or when the ground is muddy (so he doesn't get his hands dirty)!

It's International Cheetah Day!🐾 Cheetahs can be mistaken for leopards and jaguars, but there's a guaranteed way to tell them apart. Cheetahs have teardrop shaped lines that go from the corner of their eyes to their mouth. This marking helps them keep the sun out of their eyes!

It's International Snow Leopard Day! ❄️ Training sessions allow our keepers to develop relationships with our animals that help us take care of them. By using milk to encourage Yuki to stretch out his body, they can get a good look at his paws and torso during health checks.

We are devastated to share that our meerkats, Nkosi, Lula, Nya, Kgala, and Ari, have passed away. On 6/1, our keepers noticed unusual behavior among the meerkats and immediately notified our vet team. Despite their valiant efforts, all 5 passed away within the last 2 weeks. 1/4
