There's this notion that you can't be yourself, flaws and all, not because you'll be seen as soft, but as dangerous. This actually creates weak men. When they get soft AND weak - you have a masculinity crisis.

... I'm Gen Z and the overwhelming majority of younger millennials and most of Gen Z is totally, irrevocably brainwashed, whether it be one way or another. "You can't brainwash this generation" would be funny if the reality weren't so immediately overwhelming and terrifying.

"I can't place why this commercial is so well-done" It's because it's not soulless. The actors were allowed to have fun doing these roles, any "goofs" were kept in for authenticity, and the pre-digital animation which doesn't necessarily stay on-model also feels genuine.

@roromiie206 Reducing that to "oh you just want women to be your therapist" is disrespect both to men and to women. It paints all men as chauvinistic and it reduces the only potential value of male-female relations to a power dynamic which is the exact opposite of a healthy relationship.
